The iron gargoyle golem is an intricate combination of magic and technology. They stand approximately 7' in height. When they move, they often give of whirs, clicks or other mechanical sounds.

Combat: In melee combat the iron gargoyle golem attacks with his claws. When in the air or when it is some distance away it will attack with magic missles which it can discharge every round at 5th level spell ability.

Anyone attacking the iron gargoyle golem with a metal weapon, suffers an electrical shock of 6d6 points of damage (half if a saving throw vs. spells is made) if they roll a natural 20 on their attack dice. A saving throw vs. paralysis must also be made to avoid being incapacitated for 2d4 rounds due to the effects of electrical current on muscles.
An Iron golem gargoyle has a strength of 20 for purposes of lifting, throwing or smashing objects. An iron gargoyle golem also is unnafected by weapons of less than +2 enchantment. Magical electrical attacks slow it for 3 rounds and magical fire actually repairs one hit point of damage for every hit die of damage it would have caused. All other spells are ignored.

Creation Method: The only way to create a iron gargoyle golem is to be equipped with A Manual of Iron Gargoyle Golems. Inside this book is the instructions on how to build the device. To read the book one must have an intelligence of at least 16. Creation of the golem costs 125,000 gold peices for the first model, and 60,000 peices for each additional model. Spells required to animate it are: animate object, fabricate, grease, magic missle, chain lightning, and either major creation or wish.

The creator can be of any class, as long as he has a dexterity of 17 or experience with fine workmanship (training as a watchmaker).
