NOVEMBER 24, 1999: Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I hope it is a happy, safe and wonderful one!

NOVEMBER 26, 1999: It has been quite a while since I have updated this page and for that I apologize. I will try to do better in the future. Alright, now for the news. == The wedding for Bree and Furm went as planned on October 24th. I must say I was very disappointed and hope noone has to go through what we did. The vows we wrote and submitted were lost, or so we were told...the ring orders were backed up so we didn't even have the rings...there was quite a bit of lag and to top it all off the shard went down later that night warping us back to way before the wedding. For those of you who managed to show up I thank you very much. On the upside of it all...Bree and Furm are officially
married. ~smile~ == Many in the guild are currently working on other characters so if CHB seems sparce in the area please be patient and know we are around..just as other personas. == Some of you may notice that the guild crafthouse now has a couple of vendors outside. I mentioned a while ago that I was going to allow vendors to be placed in certain spots and now it has come to pass. If anyone else is interested -please- contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks! == FGB has once again undergone a change of hands in its leadership. Zelexis has left and Crimson Ghost is now the new GuildMaster. I wish to have a vote just like last time about whether to keep the alliance but plan on doing a few things differently this time. Before the vote I would like to create a "just for members only" page which would allow us privacy to vote, voice opinions/suggestions without worry of others knowing what was said etc. This takes time though and I am currently working on it. I'll keep you posted. == There are a few projects in the works on things we wish to do in the future. Mainly they involve guild meetings, pvp training and doing things with allies. As more becomes known or accomplished on these endeavors, I will inform you of times, places and what is required for you to attend.

NOVEMBER 28, 1999: There was one piece of news I neglected to put down below. Lady Heretic asked to be promoted and after consideration by the Inner Circle was given a quest. She finished her quest and has earned the new position of Sub-Chief in the Archers Division. Congratulations Heretic...you are an asset to not only your Division but to this guild as a whole. ~warm smile~

DECEMBER 4, 1999: On December 18, 1999 at approximately 9:00pm cst there will be a guild Holiday Party held at the Guildhouse. We will have food and beverages, plus a grabbag where everyone present who is in the guild will pick a rune and receive the gift chosen. Gifts will include: bags of regs..50 of each, gm archer sets & a variety of gm weapons. Everyone in the guild is invited and guild attire is -not- required. After 10:30pm cst any and all Allies are invited to join in the holiday festivities and to partake of the food and beverages with us. Please try your best to attend, as some of you have been seen little and been asked about. Thank you all!!

JANUARY 1, 2000: Happy New Year everyone!! ~smiling warmly~ I hope this year in the world of Sosaria finds you meeting your goals with characters, getting to know others and having lots of fun. In the real world I hope you all are happy, safe and that many good things happen to you and yours. My best to you all!!

JANUARY 3, 2000: Some have been asking for more information on the Great Lakes Alliance. I have looked through my files and found this letter, so am posting it here.
Activate your members in GLA today so that we may all truly benefit from our labors, meet each others members and expand our horizons by getting involved. Make your guild's membership make a difference for you, your members, and all of us in GLA. Give your members the opportunities GLA has to offer them. Encourage each member of your guild to join at least one or two of the committees listed below.
Your sister in GLA, Blue, Templar Mistress of BKT
Committees, what they do and who to contact to join:
Events Committee Chairperson: Steve of KA #50588695 If you have people skills or just love people then join this committee. Put your talents to work by joining this committee, do something good for GL and have fun while doing it! Meet other members in GLA, make new friends. Contact Steve to join and remember to tell him in your message that you are a GLA member. Good luck and have fun!
Justice Committee Chairperson: Artimous of SOL #9984946 If you feel that you are a fair minded person and like to really make a difference for others in the game, help make GL a better shard to play on, meet other members in GLA, make new friends, contact Artimous to join this committee. Remember to tell him in your message that you are a GLA member. Good luck and have fun!
911 Committee Chairperson: SSB Rath of SSB #3087843 War Council Committee Chairperson: Jym of the woods, BOC #12760783 If you are good at pvp or want to learn to be good at it then join these committees. Both these committees will work hand in hand to respond to the needs of our brothers in arms when they are attacked or threatened. If you want a direct hand in the defense of GLA members and all of GL for that matter, then contact these gms and join one or both of these committees today!
Meeting Committee Chairperson: Blue of BKT #26411339 If you want to roll up your sleeves and get involved in GLA, come join my committee. I basically need a few people to take turns taking the minutes (notes) of our GLA monthly meeting and then documenting it, and finally sending the report out to all gms in the alliance. This will be a tremendous help for any gms who might
be unable to attend a meeting, and for those that do attend it will help them inform their members. We should all be and stay
informed. Knowledge is strength! Contact me at my icq number below if you would like to help and be sure to let me know you
are a gla member in your request.
Merchant Crafter's Committee Chairperson: Steve of KA #50588695 There's no better way for crafters or those who are working at building a craft then to join the Crafter's committee. Learn or help others learn, meet new friends, help the alliance and the GL shard by making your membership in GLA mean something to yourself and others! Join this committee today. Contact Steve at his icq above and remember to tell him you are a GLA member. Good luck and have fun!
Public Relations Committee Chairperson: Angus Farland of FC 22587947 If you love to meet new people and make new friends then the Public Relations committee is the one for you to join. Don't wait to become involved in GLA, make it happen and reap the rewards that will come from being an active member in this alliance. Help us find others who want what we have with our brotherhood. To join contact Angus (above) and be sure to tell him you are a GLA member.
This is by no means mandatory but I would like to see our guild become more involved with the Great Lakes Alliance. I myself am going to attempt to be more active in it...wish me
luck!!

JANUARY 5, 2000: CHB will be taking new recruits during the month of January. If you know of anyone interested in joining us please have them contact me in some way. Once February is here we will be accepting -no- new members. == I have noticed many new
recruits are past their one month and eligible to be moved up in rank. If you wish this to be so then please contact your Divisonal Chief or in the case you do not have one, contact your
Guild Leader to receive a quest book. Thank you.

JANUARY 8, 2000: On January 22, 2000 there will be a mandatory guild meeting held at the guildhall at approximately 10pm cst. Guild wear -is- required so please look up what you will need on the ranks page and contact Chief Garec, Chief Karnbor or Guild Leader Breeanne if you need anything dyed. I would appreciate a reply on whether you will be able to make this meeting or not and shall post something on the messageboard to that effect. I believe those who are trying to make things work deserve the respect and common curtesy from all, so a reply shouldn't be too much to ask. Agenda for this meeting will include: 1) becoming more active in GLA...how we can do this, to what extent, who will represent us, etc. 2) beginning one on one pvp training amongst ourselves...what night would be best, what time, should it be to the death, at the guildhall or near a shrine, etc. 3) should we begin tithing...if so should it be completely in gold or other goods such as logs, feathers, food,
basically craftable items, should the tithe be rotated on a month to month basis. 4) getting together with our allies more often...should this involve gatherings at each others guildhalls,
adventuring or something else. These four items should provide enough conversation for an hour long meeting. I intend to keep to the subjects at hand and since I loathe long meetings will try my best to keep it at an hour. Please make a list of your questions or comments before hand and also, -please- do not be shy. If you have an opinion voice it! Many thanks and I hope to see many of you there.

JANUARY 12, 2000: This general invitation was placed on the GLA Elders board by one of the members. If anyone wishes to attend please let me know as I am going to try and make it...thanks!
I would like to announce the engagement of Red William and Liara Jalice (my tailor) of OGD. The wedding is scheduled for Sunday, January 23, 2000.
Time: 7:00 pm cst Location: OGD temple (60o 49'N 53o 13'E)
All are invited to attend and share in the celebration. The occasion will also see the OGD tower go public for the first time since it was built.

JANUARY 23, 2000: The guild meeting went ahead as scheduled. Those in attendance were: Breeanne, Karnbor, Zeuss, Tobar VII, Quin, Furmanator, Elric, Heretic, Friday and a
late appearance by Arakasi. Thank you all very much for showing up.
Out of the four items I had on the agenda only two were discussed but I feel it was an hour well spent. It was decided that the initials for GLA should be placed in our titles. This was done after the meeting so if you see a change in your title that is why.
A vote was taken on which committee we should contribute our time to in the GLA and the majority chose Events to begin with. We will choose another as we feel more comfortable in the Alliance.
There was a discussion and vote about declaring alliances with the other guilds in the GLA. The majority agreed to begin doing this as soon as possible regardless if we know them or not. It was said that we may always undeclare if a problem should arise.
As it will be impossible for me to take care of CHB business -and- be involved in the GLA, I asked for two representatives who will speak in my absence when necessary. I proposed these two be Furmanator and Chief Karnbor, so a vote was taken and it was unanimously an aye. If anyone wishes the GLA members messageboard user name and password, please let me know and I will give them to you via ICQ, thanks.
Tithing was discussed towards the end of the meeting and it was decided we are not in need of mandatory tithing but donations will be accepted. To do this I am going to empty out the top chest, maroon color, in the guild crafthouse. I will set packs with books in there so people know where to place items they wish to donate. We are accepting things such as: logs, feathers, raw ribs, hides, regeants, weapons to break down into ingots, ingots...things along those lines. Please do not place useless/worthless junk in there as I will only have to throw it away. I will also place a yellow pack in there for sellable items and the gold from these will go into a guild fund.
For a first meeting I didn't think things went too badly and believe it or not I kept the meeting at about an hour in length. Later that night several of us went to the newlands and bashed on some lava lizards and efreets. Elbryan of FG joined us and we had a blast.

JANUARY 23, 2000: Those eligible to be moved from New Recruits to Regular CHB members are: Cymry DeDanu, Moon Flower, Beltira, Raiyne Flower, Indy, Macaw, Elric, Jude, Lludd. Please contact your Divisional Chief for a quest or task to finish so you may be moved up in rank. If there is no Chief for your division, please contact your Guild Leader instead. Thank you.

March 19, 2000: Thank you to all those who attended the meeting last night. Those in attendance were: Breeanne, Karnbor, Arakasi, Friday, Elric, Raging Bull, Tobar and Quin. There was a lot of voting done and some suggestions/comments/opinions for the future.
There was a motion that we, the Celtic Highlanders of Britannia, change our guildname to the Celtic Highlanders of Sosaria. The majority voted to keep the Celtic Highlanders of Britannia as our guildname and so shall it be. We shall still be known as CHB.
Our guild anniversary is in April and several mentioned they would like a celebration. Suggestions were made for a party with food and beverage at the guildhouse with allies and friends invited. Others suggested a gathering then an outing afterwards. If -anything- is going to happen I need the input and help of the
entire guild. Please leave your comments on this matter on the messageboard or contact me directly. Thank you.
It was voted to have one united guild color and to do away with separate rank colors, although many expressed an interest in keeping the ranks. It was also voted to keep maroon as our guild color as many wished to stay with the original idea of the founder.
While our guild meetings have been few and far between, a vote was taken to see how often we should get together to discuss guild business. The majority voted to have regular guild meetings once a month, every second saturday evening around 9pm cst. I will plan these meetings around holidays if need be but for the most part they will be as the majority voted and approximately an hour in length. For now, they shall be held in the guildhouse on the outskirts of the eastern forest of Britain.
Regularly scheduled guild outings were voted down with the majority wishing to keep the present spontaneous outings we have now. These happen when many of us are online and visible on icq. It was also made known that if -anyone- wishes to venture out in a more planned setting, they are -more- then welcome to post a
message on the board and see who all would be interested. Please don't be shy and if you have a suggestion for something you wish to see the guild try, say so. Thanks.
A light discussion was made pertaining to pvp training. There doesn't seem to be much of an interest in this so for now that will be something to think about in the future. If you have any comments/suggestions/opinions on this subject please leave a
message on the board.
Lastly, any quests to rise in rank status that are still out there are officially null and void. From now on there shall be a limit of two weeks to finish such a quest. If you wish to move up in rank then you need to discuss this with your Divisional Chief or Guild Leader, if a Chief is not available for that division. There are -many- positions available presently.
Well, that was about it. The meeting went longer then planned and I apologize for that. I will attempt to keep it shorter in the future but the more banter between guildmates and interruptions makes this difficult. Again, thank you all who were there, it was and is appreciated.
