One of my favorite space-related phrases is from Start Trek's intro: "Space, the final frontier". This pretty much summons up how I feel about it. Space is the ultimate frontier, a frontier that we must explore and, ultimately, conquer, so as to be able to leave our small, overworked and abused planet. Sooner or latter, either we find ways to leave this mud ball and colonise other planets or our race will stagnate and die.
