Graeme Ruane:
I have served on many freighters since leaving starfleet and
eventually could afford to buy my own. At 48 I decided to give up a career
that I saw was going nowhere. I have enjoyed making modifications to
my freighter 'Jade', my favorite being the installation of a phaser
cannon for defense and mining purposes. I have also worked on other
projects that in some cases remain incomplete due to my rejoining of
starfleet on stardate 70700?. At some point I would like to resume
work on one or two and I have continued to make modifications to the
Jade in my free time onboard the starships I have served on to date.
Starfleet Security:
Graeme Ruane is a known aquaintence of Capt.Galen Savage - they
served together in their youth before Capt.Savage enrolled in to the
Academy. Apparently Ruane even offered to sponser Savage through the
Academy training program.
Graeme Ruane has served on many well known freighters, he has kept
a clean record in his own activities and was cleared by the Klingons
when the crew of the freighter 'Hercules' were aprehended for killing
a Klingon Commander. Ruane was one of the most well known traders
when he Captained the 'Jade'. He also has avoided making enemies
amongst his trade although some specific people hold a grudge against
him. This includes many races, Romulans, Klingons and Federation.
Mainly because they thought he might be an easy target, unfortunatly
for them this wasn't the case. Many craft have been lost to the
'Jade' on Romulan and Klingon sides.
However we have found that the goverments hold no grudge.
The Founder Ruane:
SD: 8.060? - Graeme Philip Ruane fell to what appeared to be his death
on the Hetgarot home world. On beaming up to the USS CURIE after the
200ft drop Graeme was pronounced dead. Shortly after, however, the body
disappeared, and later Graeme re-appeared with an all together different
appearance, and in subtle ways a different personality. He has called
this his regeneration. It involved high speed re-sequencing of his
DNA. This was observed by the then Ensign, John Roberts, CMO of the
USS CURIE.
SD: 8.0820 - Graeme Philip Ruane negotiated a contract between the
Federation, the Dergrad Empire and the Vurtedion Federation, securing
a foothold deep in the Cocoon on what is know called Deep Space 101.
The Real Ruane:
SD: 7.0911 - Graeme Philip Ruane was recalled to Starfleet to be assigned as
FO on the USS CURIE. Somewhere during his flight from the Otinio Nebulla he
was replaced by a Founder who for the next two years passed as the real Graeme
Ruane.
Meanwhile the real Ruane was taken to a Dominion prison camp in the Gamma Quadrant
where he was kept until the rescue two years later by the USS SAGAN.
SD: 9.1217 - Graeme Philip Ruane is granted an extended leave of absence by
Admiral Saishan of Cocoon Fleet. He heads for DS 101 to recover his belongings.
Medical:
It is unknown whether Ruane is able to actually regenerate as did the Founder version
of him. Although it is highly likely that this is one of the abilities of the race he
is half of.
Ruane is physically fit for active duty if he wishes to return to fleet duty.
During tests it was noted that when injured, Ruane's body repairs itself at a rate
significantly faster than that of humans - often a wound that would take 2 days to
heal in a human would only take 12 hours in Ruane.
If Ruane takes an extended leave of absence he should report in for another medical
before resuming service.
Psychological:
Ruane seems to be coping well with his past ordeal and his return into Federation
society - however he should visit the councillor regually to check on his progress.
Although I have not witnessed the usual 'symptoms' it could be possible that
Ruane is in a light state of denial or repression over the events of the past two years.
