Motown has announced that Puffy will remix "I Want You Back," which was the Jackson 5's debut single and sold more than 1.7 million copies on its way to the top of the pop chart. The news comes on the same day that our colleagues in MTV Europe confirmed a "Billboard" report that Puffy has decided not to reschedule his previously postponed European tour. As we also reported last month. The album, and Puffy¹s remix, will hit stores on February 17.

The twelfth annual Soul Train award nominations were announced on Wednesday in Los Angeles, and Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs walked away with five nominations, the most for any artist this year. Puff Daddy's dear friend, the late Notorious B.I.G. received three nominations as did singer Mary J. Blige. Dru Hill, Joe, and Missy Elliot all got two nods. Nineteen other artist each received one.

1.16.98 14:00 EDT- The hip-hop impresario has signed on to remix an as-yet-undetermined Motown hit for the upcoming collection "Motown 40 Forever." The double CD set, which arrives in stores in late February, will feature 39 classic Motown cuts, and will cap the collection with Puffy's remix.

Reznor has already submitted a rock version of "Victory" as have Anthrax, the Deftones, Dinosaur Jr. mastermind J Mascis, and Fuzzbubble, the only rock act on Puffy's Bad Boy label. Korn and Megadeth are also poised to get in on the act as well. According to artist and repertoire executives in Bad Boy's rock division, the "Victory" remix might be a combination of the rock tracks submitted, or simply Puffy's favorite track.

The Puffy Combs empire expands once again this week with the release of "Money, Power And Respect"... no, it's not Puffy's life story, it's actually the title of the debut album by the rap group the Lox. The most recent fruits of the Lox/Puffy union can be seen in the Lox' new video, "If You Think I'm Jiggy" [800k QuickTime], the first single from "Money, Power, And Respect."

January 7 [7:55 EDT] -- While Grammy watchers will soon be seeing plenty of Puffy this year, his Europeans fans will have to wait a little longer to see the mogul-turned-rapper do his thing. Sean "Puffy" Combs has been told by his doctors to take it easy due to the strenuous nature of his recent U.S. tour which wrapped up on December 22 in Denver.

Dec. 3 [10:00 EDT] -- Sean "Puffy" Combs made good on a promise we first reported about in May when he hit the stage in New York City on Monday and handed over proceeds from "I'll Be Missing You" to the children of the late Notorious B.I.G. Before a performance at New York's Madison Square Garden, Puff Daddy presented a check to Biggie's mother who will use the money to establish a trust fund for Biggie's children. The check was originally for $2 Million but he later announced that it would be $3 Million.

Nov. 28 - Puffy always wanted to produce with Janet Jackson. Janet just finished her album and doesn't want to make any new material. Puffy concluded: "It was just a dream, a fantasy to one day work with Janet Jackson. Now I don't want to do it. I don't want to work with her anymore. I'm moving on. My heart has been broken and I am moving on."

Nov. 14 - SEAN "PUFFY" COMBS [Live performance, 1MB]: "We really ain't out here making a lot of money. We out here to go and touch everybody. We spent a lot of money on production and explosions, and flying through the sky and things like that so everybody could have a good time. And that's what I get paid from, seeing everybody have a good time. That's payment, all the payment I need."

Nov. 3 - Puffy on Mtv Live (Nov. 3): Puffy and the whole Bad Boy Family were recently interviewed on Mtv Live to premote their tour which hit off on Nov. 9th in Albany, New York. Puffy tells Mtv their will be a 2nd unscheduled performance in Madison Square Garden due to the great demand. Because of the many talented Bad Boy artists (112, Lil' Kim, Mase, Lox, Nas & Puffy), Puffy says that the concert will be mainly full of the widely known hit songs of the Bad Boy Family. This is better than the concerts where there are a bunch of crappy songs you have to listen through to get to the few good ones you are most familiar with. Happy Birthday Puffy!! (Nov. 4) Puffy recieved a cake during the live shoot in honor of his birthday from Mtv & his Bad Boy Crew.

November 5 [16:15 EDT] -- Before kicking off his "No Way Out" tour this Friday, Puffy Combs wanted to wrap up some unfinished business. While warming up for the tour, Puffy found the time to shoot a bunch of new videos.

Puffy recently shot the video for the rock remix of his track "It's All About the Benjamins", and now word comes that Puff Daddy has also just finished a clip for the late Notorious B.I.G. song "Been Around The World." Puffy's label, Bad Boy Entertainment, is also planning to shoot another Biggie video, "The Sky's The Limit," which will boast a cast of children as pint-size versions of Puffy, Mase, and Biggie.

Puffy finished making a "All About the Benjamins Remix" which features ex-drummer (Dave Grohl) from Nirvana/Lead singer for the Foo Fighters. Puffy told MTV News: "(Its) a rock remix I did, that I got help with from Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, and also Stinson, and also John Eaton, a guy I work with, who works at my studio, helped me out with it." The song starts out with Puffy singing R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts," then it turns into a heavy metal version of "It's All About the Benjamins."

MA$E's new album "Harlem World" hit record stores October the 28th. Mase brought in a number of outside producers and told Mtv that he made sure all the beats on the album are hot. Mase already released the single "Feels So Good" featuring Puffy & Lox with a video with fly girls, men in green, and phat effects. In the video, Mase wore a green jersey with MA$E written on it. In the making of his album, Mase brought in Jermaine Dupri, The Neptunes, Chad Hugo, Pharrell Williams, Grease, and Mo Suave-A. The album also boasts appearances by a number of high-profile artists as well including Jay-Z and Lil' Cease on "Cheat On You," Busta Rhymes on "Niggas Wanna Act," the Lox, Black Rob, and DMX on "24 Hours To Live," and of course Puff Daddy who pops up on the tracks "Do You Wanna Get $" and "Will They Die For You" which also features Lil' Kim. Ma$e's album debued on the Billboard Charts at #1.

Puffy's label, Bad Boy Entertainment, is planning to shoot a video for Biggie's song "The Sky's The Limit," which is off of the late rapper's album "Life After Death." The video will not actually feature Puffy, but will instead boast a cast of children as pint-size versions of Puffy, Mase, and Biggie.

Puffy recently spoke exclusively with MTV News while preparing for his upcoming "No Way Out" tour, and said that there's a new album from Biggie/Notorious B.I.G. called "Born Again". This album is a compilation of Biggie's unreleased tracks and demos. B.I.G.'s mother and great friend Puffy will be the commentators of this documentary album.

December 1st, the official commemorative double CD, called "Diana, Princess of Wales -- Tribute," will be released, The album features 36 tracks, including 13 compositions written exclusively for the record. Puff Daddy's "I'll Be Missing You" will be on it, Mariah Carey's "Hero" and more.
