The solution is found in the practice of
making connections and taking advantage of calling in those
favors. This large blue gentleman is a well-read,
philosopher and scientist who I've collaborated with in the
past. We had a publication accepted to a major journal a
few years back and I did the editing and proofing which
leaves him owing me a favor. Calling in that marker allowed
me to save my partner's butt and turn the temper and large
orange mass of The Thing over to Beast. Networking, folks.
