Q & A with David Duchovny
By: Mike Roberts
David Duchovny made a surprise appearance at GM Place last night, chewing gum and looking casual in jeans, sneakers and a T-shirt.
"OK, OK, we're staying, we're staying," he joked before parading around the stadium waving to fans.
"Thank you all for coming out, I don't know what to say," said Duchovny, who took a time-out from a shoot last night in North Vancouver to say goodbye to local fans and answer, somewhat evasively, pre-submitted questions:
Future movie projects?
"I plan to do more movies and you won't see me in any of them."
Fave Vancouver hangout?
"Jericho Beach and park area."
Do you believe in conspiracy theories?
"It depends, some are closer to me than others."
Fave TV show, other than The X-Files?
"The X-Files in syndication."
What would be your fantasy X-Files ending?
"I don't really know (hands microphone to a front-row fan and asks her the same question).
"The same one everyone wants, you and Gillian in bed together," she said.
Plan on having kids soon?
"Sure, yeah."
Did you think of singing Shaft in the Bad Blood episode?
"I wish I could say I did but the writer put that in there."
Fave music?
"I listen to whatever's on the radio when I go to work in the morning, what's that, Fox Rocks or something?"
Will Scully and Mulder ever get together?
"I'll leave that up to ... (mumble)."
Final words:
"I gotta go to work actually, I do. So have a good night, it was nice to see everyone. Thank you for putting up with us for five years and we'll always think fondly of Vancouver."
