Dean Haglund

Name: Dean Haglund
Birthday: July 29, 1965
Birthplace: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Current Home: Vancouver, BC

Character Portrayed: Ringo Langly
Episodes:

Filmography: A comic by heart, Dean maintains an active career in film, television, and stand-up comedy. He has appeared in many television shows, including "The Commish," "Lonesome Dove: The Series," "Street Justice," and "Sliders," as well as films like "Mask of Death," "Dangerous Indiscretion," and of course, "The X-Files Movie."

Dean's real roots lie in stand-up, however, and he still performs regularly in select clubs across North America. He's a member of Vancouver TheatreSports, an improv group that performs on Granville Island (very funny show, by the way). As a writer, Dean has penned several festival and corporate stage shows, and recently co-wrote a situation comedy called "Channel 92," which aired on UTV.

Education: After training with the Prairie Threatre Exchange in Winnipeg, Dean moved to Vancouver. There he earned his Bachelor of Arts in multi-disciplanary studies (theatre, dance, and video production) from Simon Fraser University.

His inspiration: "From my university days I know a bunch of computer guys who are Ph.D. types in the upper end of computer theory research. They all know really good rock bands--they're certainly not the pocket-protector types."
20/20 vision: Unlike Ringo, Dean does not wear glasses
Family: Sorry ladies, he's married.
Hobbies: Yoga - he can do the splits!
Revelations: "I'm Canadian and I can't skate." [gasp!]
A true believer?: "[Conspiracy theories] are all true--but only to certain people."
Dean Online: Dean has his own web page! Check it out!
