          I was quite excited when I learned meditation was a part of Wicca. I tried a lot of times with no success and got very upset wondering how I was going to further my studies if I could not meditate.
          One day while I was in my room I decided that I WAS going to lay down even though in the books they said not to....this is mainly because most people would fall asleep. However, I remember that when I was younger I would lay on my back a LOT of times and just lay there looking at the sealing! So if you are having difficulty listen to yourself! Go into what ever position makes you comfortable!
          So there I lay on my bed with Loreena McKennit's "Huron 'Beltane' Fire Dance" playing softly on my cd player and the lights OFF..though the moonlight shown through quite nicely. The first day I was able to completely relax myself, but that was as far as I got! I felt this was a big enough success to stop for the day. Please join me on my journey!

          Opening My Third Eye


          It took me quite awhile to do this (around 10 to 15 minutes), but it was kind of hard to 'figure it out'. I finally kept feeling the urge to open my eyes. I did....the most amazing thing happened, as my eyes opened SO DID my third eye. It was cool I could feel it. As my bottom eyes blinked it stayed open. I finally felt comfortable to close my eyes and was able to keep open the third eye! Things were out of focus, but I was able to SEE with my normal eyes CLOSED! It was quite an experince. I practiced the rest of the time just opening and closing the third eye!

          Candle Meditation:


          I had read that meditating on a white or blue candle is a good thing to do! So when I was went to Jewel after work one day with a friend of mine from work, I bought a white candle with a pertty blue candle holder.
          Sitting with my bed against the bed I began to meditate: 1. I was soon able to move what looked to be a very dark green flame. I moved it onto the incense and was able to make it, starting from the center turn bright yellow and then bright red. Then I was able to take the whole candle and move its image over! I was starting to make it grow more, but I decided to end it there.
          2. The Next time I meditated was during the day. I stared at the candle. I then went to close my eyes.....BOY was I SUPRIZED. When I closed them I could see the candle and incense burner that I had placed infront of me! I had finally gotten a little taste of visualization!

          Most Recent Progress:


          Really my progress isn't based on one meditation experience, but more of the fact that I am starting to meditate regularly again. Though I am not where I once was, my progress towards that is going much faster this time!
