Family:
Her father Marcus and mother Suzanne were both killed in a plane crash twelve years ago. Emily and her sister Maria (age 26) both miraculously survived without a scratch. Maria works with the VCTF in New York City, as a criminal profiler.
Spouse: Engaged to Special Agent Martin Reed of Team Zulu.

Quirks: Emily likes to run a very tight ship. She is very compentent, and she knows it. This means she can get a bit over-bearing at times.
Background:
Emily is born and raised on Manhattan in New York City. Her father was a successful lawyer and her mother worked as a D.A. When Emily was 16, the whole family was flying from Martha's Vineyard to relatives in Virginia, when the plane went down in a freak thunderstorm. Before crashing, Emily saw a bright light in the sky. She woke up in a hospital two days later without as much as a scratch. Her sister Maria was laying next to her, also unharmed. They were told their parents had both died in the crash. The death of her parents made Emily become very introvert for a number of years.

After High School, Emily went on to undergraduate studies in Ecomomy at Yale University, with full scholarship. After receiving her Master's degree, as top of her class, she received a scholarship to study Law at Stanford University.

Three years ago, she was offered a job at the Department of Justice in Washington D.C. She accepted and has worked there since, as an investigator. Recently, Emily was taken hostage by a terrorist group after a mission to Israel. She was investigating a group of Arabic businessmen, in the U.S., who were believed to have connections with the Hizbollah guerilla. During the investigation she received word that the Israeli Secret Police, the Mossad, had apprehended two Hizbollah activists in Lebanon. They wanted her to fly over to interrogate them in Natanya, Israel. It was on her way back from Natanya to Tel Aviv, when her plane was forced down and she was taken hostage, by a different terrorist group, called the Hamas. The U.S. Government had to pull a lot of strings, to have her released. They also had a lot of help from Team Zulu.

Being taken hostage made her re-think her life. She was contacted by the FBI through her boyfriend. At first, they were reluctant to place her within the same division as Martin, but she assured them that she had no problems keeping her work and her personal life separated.

Personality:
Emily is a very tough and determined person. Her sister Maria sometimes thinks she is too much of a 'go-getter'. From time to time, she refers to it as: 'Emily's Irish curse'. This is a constant source of aggrevation between the two of them. So far, very few people has seen her soft side, mainly because she hides it so well. Martin belongs to this select group, to whom she has opened up to.

Emily can be difficult to get along with because of her bossy attitude. The only person who could really handle her, was her father.
