SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE
HOTEL AND THE UNIVERSITY
There'd been little conversation in the car. Flynn just tried to watch the
road; and both Eithne and Damian were lost in thought.
Flynn stretched a little, and repressed a yawn. He had finally gotten some
rest. Yesterday had almost been something out of a dream.
Yet he remembered everything. He still couldn't think why Brian would kill
himself... What was going on in this school??
His eyes left the road a moment to glance at Damian. Flynn hadn't really
taken the time yet to get to know Damian.. Half afraid he would be pulled
off this team as well...
He reduced speed, and came to a stop before the red light. There were
several cars on the road, yet the town seemed peaceful... Like the quiet
before the storm. The light went green and Flynn accelerated to the
speed-limit.
"We're almost there." Flynn stated the obvious, hoping to start a
conversation.
It had been real quiet since the left the hotel. Since Eithne had been made
the new team-leader.
"Yep. You remember the way to the girl's dorm?" Eithne asked.
"Yes." Flynn answered, as the car approached the University.
Yesterday Flynn had been a little
pre-occupied and very tired. Now he felt as good as new... Well at least as
good as can be expected when you've just witnessed someone commit suicide.
There was something turning way back in his mind. Whenever he tried to
grasp the thought, it seemed to slip away.
