Flynn nodded, then turned towards the couple. "I have one question for you. Do you know a Dr. Burrell?"

The woman turned white almost instantly. Even the doctor seemed to have a bit of a scare. After a nervous glance to his wife, the doctor answered. "No. I don't know him."

Flynn stood up. "We're not the bad guys here, Dr. Meadow. We're the ones who'll try and find out the truth. Goodday."

Damian and Flynn walked towards the door, and the woman let them out, without saying a word.

The doctor was staring out of the window. "That's what I'm worried about...." he wispered to himself.

His wife returend to the living room. "Bert? Are you allright?"

"I don't know Martha. If they dig too deep."

"Hold me. I'm scared."

Bert held his wife close to his chest. He too was terrified...

"Did you see their faces?" Damian asked, "They were scared out of their minds!"

"Yes. I wonder why Dr. Burrell has that effect on people...." Flynn said.

"Don't know. But there's something weird going on in this town." Damian said.

"That always seems to be the case with the X-Files, don't it?" Flynn smiled.

Damian smiled back, "Yeah. no kidding. Oh. Look at the time, we'd better meet with Kate at the motel. The new team members will be there as well."

"Yep." Flynn replied, then drove the car towards the restaurant.


1:32 PM

Damian held the door open for Flynn who was right behind him. They recognized Kate, and saw her sitting with three others.

Kate looked up and saw them coming.
