COUNTY MORGUE

"Heroine??" Flynn asked with great surprise. "Are you sure?" not really
wanting to believe someone would have an addiction to the drug.

"Yes, it's quite clear." Patricia said, her eyes piercing through Flynn's.

"Have you seen any needle marks on their arms?" Flynn asked.

Patricia frowned. "Not that I can recall."

"Let's go check it out." Flynn said, needing more evidence before he judged
them.
Flynn stood up, and Patricia, after folding the report under her arm, did
so too.

As they opened the door, the Pathologist looked up. "Forgot something?"

He had already put Brian's body back, and was now cleaning up Ann's.

"We'd like to see Ann and Brian one more time," Flynn said.

The Pathologist rolled his eyes, and sighed. Then gestured towards Ann.

Patricia and Flynn walked over and pulled back the covers of her arm.

Her arm had needle marks on them, but not many. "Are that enough marks to
indicate that she was a frequent user?" Flynn asked.

Patricia frowned and shook her head, "No. It isn't."

Flynn stared at the marks as Brian's body was revealed again by the
Pathologist.

Patricia walked over to Brian, but Flynn kept staring... There was
something there, familiar maybe..

Flynn turned to the Pathologist, "Have you taken any pictures of their
arms?"

The Pathologist shook his head, "We don't have many of these kinds of
deaths."

"Can you take some polaroids from this?" Flynn asked.

The pathologist muttered something and walked out of the room.

"I can't find any marks on Brian," Patricia said.

Flynn frowned. "But you said Brian also had Heroine in his blood?"

"Yes, but there are no needle marks, as far as I can see."

The pathologist came back, with a camera and handed it over to Flynn.
"Here."

Flynn looked at it and was a bit dissapointed. "Is there a one-hour
photo-shop in town?"

It seemed as if the pathologist had enough of the FBI for one day. "Yeah
there's one on 23d street." then left again, "Leave the camera at the
reception when you go."

Flynn took some pictures of Ann's arms.

"Why are you taking pictures?" Patricia asked.

"There's something familiar about those marks," Flynn answered.

4:30 PM
Brian's Room

After stopping by the photo-shop and dropping the photo's of with
instructions to blow them up, and getting a promise they would be done this
afternoon, Flynn and Patricia made their way to the University Dorm.

They asked directions, and soon arrived at the door of Brian's room. Flynn
knocked, and several moments passed before the door was opened. A student
somewhat smaller than Flynn opened the door. "Yeah?"

Patricia and Flynn showed their badges and introduced themselves, then
asked who he was.

"I'm Jack Wenting, roommate of Brian."

"Do you have any objections if we'd search Brian's things?"

"No, come in." Jack opened the door further and Flynn and Patricia walked
in.

After a quick look, they discovered a box beneath Brian's bed. It held a
lot of personell stuff. There. A photo-album.
They spitted through the album....
Finally... Halloween 1989 was written beneath the photo. It held a lot a
people, among them Flynn could spot the young Brian with his arm around a
girl, Ann he guessed.

"Are you from around here Jack?" Flynn asked.

"No. I'm from Sheldon. I wasn't raised here."

Flynn closed the album and got to his feet, "Mind if I take this along?"

Jack shrugged, "It's not mine."

"Did you know Brian well?" Patricia asked.

"What can I say. We talked of course, but Brian's best friend around here
was Walter.
Walter Calcroix."

"Where can we find this Walter Calcroix?"

Jack frowned, he was in deep thought, "I think he lives on Jeffersonlane."

Flynn blinked. "Brian was a local too, wasn't he?"

Jack nodded.

"Then why did he live in the dorm?"

"Don't know exactly. Some problems with one of his parents I think."
