Newt

[MD: 3. 1200pm, Richardson cabin]

Newt looked up at the woman as she closed the photo album, "He's a beautiful little boy, Mrs. Richardson."

She sniffed back some tears as she stood to put the album away. Her husband still had not returned and she'd tried to keep Newt company as best she could. "He's a very good boy too."

"I'm sure he is ma'am. I promise you we'll do our best to find him. Most of my colleagues are out there right now looking." Newt promised her.

She nodded. "I don't think I've ever been so scared in all my life. And .. and I just want my baby home."

Newt nodded. She shrugged, "I'm sorry Sterling's taking so long .. umm .. would you like a sandwich .. or something?"

"Well I am getting to be a little hungry."

She nodded, "Good, I'll get you something. I'm really glad you stopped by, though I'm sortty about my husband. He's a very busy man .. and well .. I knock around in this cabin alone a lot. Especially now with Logan .." she stopped and headed quickly into the kitchen.

Newt watched her through the breakfast bar as she pulled out bread and lunch meat.

"Sterling dismissed Rosa, so I've been even more alone..'

"He dismissed the maid?" Newt asked.

Mrs. Richardson nodded, "Yes .. he didn't like the things she'd been saying about the .. well aliens and all. I mean I know it's ridiculous .. but I still wish he'd let her stay. He said he didn't want her putting such idea's into Logan's head when he came home. Sterling's sure he'll be home soon .."

"Everyone is doing their best to make sure that's true ma'am."

Just then the front door clicked open, "Jesse?"

Mrs. Richardson looked relieved, "In here, darling. I was just making Agent Prescott a sandwich."

"Is he still here?" Newt saw the man come in. Mr. Richardson came toward the young man, "Shouldn't you be out searching for our son."

"My colleagues are, sir. But I have a few questions to ask you in particular."

"I've already told you people all I know. Now go out and do your jobs!"

"Yes, sir, but first I have to ask you about the site about half a mile off Old River Road."

"What site?" the man asked, flashing irritation.

"We found a very strange black building .."

"Impossible .. there's not thing out there. Just forests."

Newt kept his tone quiet, "Mr. Richardson, I saw you pick up a man who came out of that building you say wasn't out there."

Something Newt couldn't read flashed over the man's face, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Well, sir, I think you'd better start because I was in that black building .. and they had monitors set up. And one of those monitors showed your son."

"What!"

"We got a glimpse of .." New gasped as Sterling Richardson rushed forward grabbing him by the jacket lapels.

"Listen you little shit! Don't bother me with question like this .. Just find my son!"

Newt was lifted a short distance off the floor and struggled to speak. "I need .. you .. to .. cooperate, Sir."

"Put him down, Mr. Richardson." Newt recognized the voice of his team leader and was relieved he wasn't alone now.

"Please Sterling," his wife whimpered. "For Logon .."

Newt felt the man relax and then felt his feet touch the ground. He straightened and brushed off his jacket, turning to look at Kate. She was staring down Sterling Richardson. "I think you'd better answer Agent Prescott's questions, Mr. Richardson. Or we my have to charge you with hindering an FBI investigation."
