It's too late. She's dead. A second lurch throws you onto the ground beside her. As you crawl up, you see Lt. Connors's console exploding, and Connors is tossed into an aft panel. The hits are getting stronger. That means, either the Romulan warbird is getting more powerful,...or the shields are starting to fail! You rush toward your tactical panel, but another, stronger impact causes the ship to roll, and you are thrown in the opposite direction! As luck would have it, the hull breaches--the very bulkhead you are headed for is ripped open to space! Fortunately, the emergency forcefields are still working by some miracle power, and you bounce off the breach--directly into your defense console!
