Absolutely Bill's Mood

The "Bill" in the title refers to Bill Krauss, sound man and producer for the first two TMBG albums. His mood at the time of the song was one of frustration, so the person in the song shares this mood. (Whether the narrator's NAME is Bill is unknown, and probably unimportant.) The "absolutely" is a reference to Bob Dylan song titles that contain seemingly irrelevant adverbs. One such song is known as "Absolutely Sweet Marie." The guitar solo was played over the telephone by Eugene Chadbourne.

"I know monkey see, but monkey's dead"

This plays on the expression "monkey see, monkey do."
