Sailor Titan tells us a story!! Diane rubbed her eyes as the morning sun, what there was of it, flooded
her vision. It was always dark here on Doom, but never dark enough not
to awaken her when morning came. It had been her turn with the Prince
the previous night, and he still lay snoring at her side. She rose
quietly, so as not to wake him, and joined the others in the Harem
kitchen for breakfast.
"Good morning, Ladies," she said cheerfully.
Samara smiled as she peered up from her breakfast, Dom waved, and Jenn
said a cheery, if somewhat congested, hello.
"Morning," said Tamysan, "And how was are darling Lotor last night?"
"Wonderful," She brushed her fingers through her cropped red hair,"
I'll tell you all about it."
More will be coming, but the library is closing.
More on Monday.
Diane Smith(aka Sailor Titan)

Harem fic, Feeling Older pt2

"I will tell you girls about last night in a moment," Diane's blue eyes
sparkled, "but first, I need to talk to Samara."
"You look troubled, Child. What is it that has you bothered so?"
Sammie asked her when they were alone.
"I don't know, Sammie Ma. Except for that I'm new here, in a lot of
ways, and I think some of the girls resent me for the easy relationship
Lotor and I share."
"Why do you think that, Di? I, for one, like you very much."
Tears sprang to the sensitive girl's eyes. "I can't help it that Lo'
and I get along so well. It's because we've known each other since he
was a child. Why can't I just be a slave like the others? Maybe then
they wouldn't look at me so."
"Most of them," Samara told her, "you will find, would not leave here
even if they had their freedom. They have come to love this one who is
their master."
"But I have the choice, the freedom to decide whether I will stay or
go. I will stay, of course. Where else would I go? Since Jadeite died,
there is nothing on Earth to hold me, save that it is my homeworld.
Doom, however, is more home to me now than Earth ever was."
Diane clutched the Drule woman tightly to her. "I miss Jade so much.
And although it feels like an insult to his memory, I will never regret
last night."
"It is hard to lose those you love. Do you not think, however, that
Prince Lotor understands what loss feels like? Why don't you speak of
this with him? I think it may help."
"Thank you, Samara. This is the other thing that holds me here, the
fact that you all understand so well. It is strange, knowing how old I
truly am when you can't really see it."
More to come.

Feeling older pt 3.

Diane sighed, lowering her eyes and looking at her fine-boned hands.
"Last night was wonderful, Samara. Usually, you know, Lotor sends the
concubine back to her divan when he's done. He didn't do that with me.
We talked long into the night. And he cried, Sammie. I think it was the
first time in his adult life he'd ever cried in front of anyone. I'm
really worried. He loves Allura, and this shit ol' Fish-Face is giving
him over it is really starting to get to him." When she looked up again,
her round blue eyes were full of tears. "He's going to crack before too
long, I just know it. He's either going to challenge his father or run.
If he challenges his father, it's really going to hurt him, whatever way
it turns out. If he kills Zarkon, the guilt's gonna eat him up inside.
If Zarkon kills him, it's gonna eat all of *us* up inside. What am I
going to do, Sammie-Ma?" Her mouth trembled. "God, I've fallen in love
with him."
Sammie threw her arms around the crying woman after that announcement.
She understood only too well how painful that was. She, herself, loved
Lotor deeply. And she, herself, also knew how futile the hope of a
relationship of any permance with him was. Like Diane, she was a
commoner. Princes didn't marry commoners.
"He wants me to be his special mistress if he and Allura ever marry. I
couldn't do that, Sam. I don't mind so much coming second to you
Scribes, 'cause we're all in the same boat here. But I couldn't live
that way if he was with Allura. I would always know in the back of my
mind that she always had his heart. What do I do?"
"You will find an answer, Di," the maid answered, "after all, you kept
our prince physically and emotionally intact during his childhood. If
you can do that, you can certainly find a way out of this dilemna."

Feeling older Pt. 4

> "Sammie," A woman with chestnut-colored hair and golden-hazel eyes
>popped her head in the door," bring Diane with you, gather up the
>others, and come quickly. We need you."
> The red-headed Drule woman looked up in alarm at the anxious tone in
>the Harem doctor's voice. "What is it, Sarah?"
> "Lotor's challenged his father. He's been injured and he's asking for
>all of you."
> Diane jumped, her body automatically reacting as it had to danger in
>her days as a Sailor Scout. "How serious?"
> "He will recover, but it will be a long, hard road. Right now, I
>believe he truly needs to not be here, " Sarah's mouth tightened in
>anger.
> "I knew it," Diane lowered a fist into her hand, "I just knew he was
>going to challenge Fish-Face and get himself hurt. What a stupid thing
>to do!"
> "Calm down," Sammie advised her, "You're reacting this way because
>you've watched over him his whole life. It is time for him to look out
>for himself."

Feeling older Pt?(I forgot.)

Diane walked into the infirmiry swiftly, some of her anger still with
her despite having told off the one who caused it.
"Hello, Di," the voice was a bit weaker than usual, but Lotor's usual
snide grin remained unshaken, "now, before you start screaming at me, as
I know you will, about how stupid I was to challenge Father, I will
admit that it was. I just couldn't stand to listen to him put down the
woman I love or these women who are my best friends anymore."
"I know that," The anger left as quickly as it had sprung up earlier,
"but you have to understand. I care about you, and it tears me up inside
to see you like this. It does a number on *all* of us, as a matter of
fact."
"Di's right," Jenn set a tender hand on the azure-skinned cheek, "We
all care about you. Even if you set us free, most of us would choose to
stay. I might not, simply because John and I love one another, as you
love Allura, but I would still be there whenever I was needed."
"Yeah," Dom stated simply.
Tamysan merely nodded in agreement.
Gina, having just returned from shopping for Lotor's birthday party,
gasped. "He didn't . . ."
"Yes, he did." Sarah told her, "Now, all of you skeedaddle out of
here. I have to prep the Prince for the OR."

Feeling older Pt.5

The part I sent yesterday didn't post. I'm gonna try again.
"I have a few words for His Majesty."
"Samara's right," Tamy told her, "If you go in there in the state of
mind you're in now, you may say something you'll regret later."
"Oh, believe me, I won't regret anything I want to say to him."
The guards stepped quickly out of her way when they saw the grimly
determined expression on her face. They'd experienced her wrath before,
and had no desire to do so again. Diane was famous, and notorious,
throughout Castle Doom for both her magical abiltites gained from her
time as a Sailor Scout and her fiery temper. The combination was enough
to have most of the royal guard walking on eggs around her.
"Your Majesty," Diane kept her tone polite, but the sneer in it was
still plainly evident, "I heard about this morning, and I must tell you
that I am highly displeased."
"I only did what was necessary to keep the respect of my subjects."
That attempt to justify his actions caused her temper to flare to the
point that she was unable to remain polite.
"Listen here, you fish-faced, blue-skinned son-of-a-bitch. There is no
justification for your treatment of your son, not only today, but for
most of his short life. You call yourself all high and mighty, teaching
him the way of the warrior. But it was *me* that taught him about honor,
*me* that taught him that love is sometimes as important as power, if
not more. Now, if you will excuse me, I have been asked to use my
nursing skills in order to assist Doctor Sarah in a surgery which may
just save your son's ability to walk. Good day."
With that, she turned and stormed out.

Feeling older Pt. 7/? (Yay, I remembered what part I was on)

"Are we ready?" Sarah, having donned her scrubs, asked an obviously
nervous Diane.
"As ready as I'll ever be to wield a knife over the body of the man I
love."
The surgery was delicate and grueling. Diane could see how it wore on
Sarah in the sweat on her face, as well as the shaky smile they
exchanged when a connection came out right.
Of a sudden, urgent beeping snapped them out of the almost mindless
rythm they'd been working in.
"Shit," Diane swore quietly, "We're losing him."
"Lidocaine, 20 mg, I.V. push."
"Got it. Charging paddles, 200, now."
Lotor's body rose up off the table as the electricity coursed through
him. The beeping regained a steady rythm.
"Whew. That was close," Sarah whispered, "Ah, I found the culprit.
Little bleeder, right here next to the heart. She's tied off. Should be
snooth sailing from here on in."
A half-hour later, Lotor was in Recovery and Sarah and her nurse were
stripping out of their scrubs and sitting down for a moment.
"Hello, Sarah," the voice belonged to Cossack, the Harem guard who'd
been chasing her for weeks. "I figured you'd be able to use a hand after
what happened. If you need a listening ear, just come to me. I'll be
there."
Sarah, who'd been rebuffing Cossack nearly as long as he'd been
chasing her, felt her heart soften a bit. "Thank you."
"Us underdogs got to stick together, you know," Cossack's grin
stretched nearly across his entire face.
"How is he?" Jenn strode in.
"Not sure. We'll know in a few weeks."
"All I know,"Diane yawned, "is that I am exhausted. I'm going to gather
up one of the man-slaves for diversion, then collapse into bed. I would
collapse into Lotor's bed, but I don't think Doc Sarah would apppreciate
me cluttering up her infirmiry or keeping her patient from the rest he
needs."

Feeling Older Part 8

"You got that right," Sarah stood in the doorway with hands on hips,"
Now, please go back to your divan and let the man get some rest. He'll
need all he can get. The next few weeks are going to be quite rough for
him physically, and I for one don't want to hear too much lip."
Tamysan's eyes sparkled wickedly. "You know Lotor's gonna give you
lip. He hates being laid up. Always has. Being not only laid up but
having to depend on someone else as well? Dream on, Sarah. It's gonna be
Hell."
But Diane did as Sarah instructed her without too much fuss. Just as
she was leaving, Cossack was coming in with a handful of roses.
"For Sarah," he explained, "I know how hard it was for her to have to
operate on someone she cares about, knowing the consequences if she
makes a mistake. I thought they might make her feel better."
To Diane's utter shock, Sarah took the roses without even a rude look.
"I think he's finally softening her up," Jenn whispered.
"You may be right," she answered, "but it still didn't surprise me any
less. He's been chasing her for weeks, and she hasn't given him even the
slightest encouragement. Now she takes the roses, and she actually
*smiled* at him."
"Yeah, she did. Now," and Jenn's voice took on her mother-hen tone,
"Now off to bed with ya. You look like you're about to fall over."
"allright, already. I'm going. But promise me. If anything happens
with Lotor tonight, someone is to wake me *immediatly*."
Jenn nodded. "You'll be the first, other than Sarah and the bearer of
the news, to know."

Feeling Older pt. 9

Lotor awakened to blaring alarms. Or so he'd thought. All was quiet in
the infirmiry when he finally opened his eyes.
WHAT A NIGHTMARE, he thought to himself.
"Don't even *think* about it," the voice, of course, belonged to
Sarah, and held a note of steel even Lotor would not disobey.
"Why would you think I was getting up?" His voice was raspy, but
stronger than it had been mere hours before. "I am not that stupid."
"Maybe because I know you as well as I do?"
"I may be stubborn, but I am not stupid." he groused.
"You're not, huh? Then why did you challenge Fish-Face? That was not
the most intelligent thing in the universe to do."
Lotor chuckled. "No it wasn't, was it?"
Sarah left to get some sleep, but kept one ear open, ready to snap
awake in an instant if there was an emergency.
An hour later, she was jerked awake by a loud thud.
"Why did you try to get up?"
Lotor's eyes were wide with terror, the expression in them so unlike
any Sarah had ever seen him display. "My father was here. He wanted to
punish Diane for standing up to him this morning. I have to warn her.
She could be in a great amount of danger if he catches her unaware."
Sarah snorted. "Her, in danger from old Fish-Face? Zarkon doesn't know
what he's in for if he messes with her. That girl was a Sailor Scout
when she was on Earth. She has defenses Zarkon could never even imagine.
As he will discover if he tries anything."

Feeling Older Pt. 10

Diane arranged to meet the girls in the Harem reception room later that
day.
"I have something to tell all of you that I know some of you may not
like. Don't interrupt me, please. I need to finish what I have to say,
and then if you want to say something, you can. I think it would be best
if I left Doom. Doctor Gorma has offered me a position on Arus as his
nurse-assistant, and I've decided to take it. I'm not worried about
Zarkon for my sake. As Sarah says, Zarkon has no idea what he's dealing
with if he decides to mess with me. I don't want to get involved in a
battle with Zarkon because if one of you gets caught in the middle, you
may get hurt. I care about you guys too much to let that happen."
Dom sighed. "But what about Lotor? He'll be devestated once he leaves
Sarah's care and finds you've gone. He needs you."
"You will all be there for him. Besides, I have a feeling he'll leave
pretty soon if Zarkon doesn't lay off his back. I'll arrange safe haven
on Arus for him if he does. When he does, rather."
"We can handle ourselves, Di," Tamysan's Texas accent became more
pronounced as he determination grew, "Jus' let ol' Fish-face mess around
with us."
"This is different than your usual tussles with His Majesty, Tamy,"
Diane stated, "If I were to fight Zarkon, it would be as Sailor Titan,
with the magic and experience of every other Sailor Titan before me at
my disposal. Caught in the middle of that kind of battle, only Valeta or
Sarah would have defenses to stand. I don't want to see any of you get
hurt."
"Diane's right," Jenn's sudden defense of her warmed her heart, "This
would be a magic battle. How many of you, aside from Sailor Kakyuup,
Diane, Valeta, or Sarah, have experience with magic? Maybe even Diane's
old Negaversian friends would manage to get themselves in over their
heads with this one, and they've been magic-users for centuries."
What will Diane do? Will she stay, fighting it out with Zarkon, or go,
hoping to avoid the fight and getting her friends hurt? Stay tuned.

Feeling Older, Pt. 11

Yes, the great Sailor Titan has returned, and is pulling this dusty old
fic out of mothballs to write another chapter. About damn time, I'm sure
most of the peeps who have been on this list for awhile will say. Now,
on with the fic. Sammie strolled in just a Diane was talking to the
rest of the girls.
"I will help," Sammie's voice was deep and rich as she spoke, a
strength in her eyes Diane had not noticed before. Diane threw her
arms around the maid's neck. "Sammie, no. I don't want you to get hurt."
"I am stronger than you know, Di," The Drule set her hand on her
friend's shoulder, "Please, let me help." Diane bowed her head.
"Alright. But promise me that if things get too intense, you'll bail.
That's all I ask." Sammie nodded.
Just as all of the magic-users were gathered, including Zoe, who'd
arrived to visit her friend earlier that afternoon, Zarkon could be
heard roaring down the hall. "Get ready, everyone," Diane spoke those
words as she transformed, feet hitting the ground with a slap. "Here
comes Fish-Face." Zoe growled at her nemesis as he approached, pale
face flushing a brilliant red in anger, her green eyes glinting like
jewels. This man had cost her friends so much, and she was not going to
allow it anymore. Her mother would have reacted the same way, she was
quite sure. Diane saw her friend's face going red, and set a hand on
her arm. "Careful, Zo, anger will cause you to make mistakes you
normally would not in a clear-headed state." Zoe nodded and calmed
down.
Diane charged up for her attack, calling out the phrase that would
unleash it on her foe. Zarkon was blown back several feet by it, but
still kept coming. "We all need to work together," Diane called.
All of them combined their abilities, and Zarkon was knocked to the
ground in a spectacular flare of brilliant light. Sammie strode over
to his prone form. "He is out, but he will not remain unconscious for
long." Diane ducked her head. "I can't stay here. It will be like this
every time Zarkon and I encounter each other, and one of you will
eventually be hurt. I have decided that I am going to take the position
Gorma offered me." All of her fellow harem-members bowed their heads,
as well, and a few were even teary-eyed. "I don't want you to go," Dom
hugged her as she said it, "You always knew how to liven things up at a
Harem party when they got too quiet." Diane knew Dom was trying to say
that she cared, and smiled. "I will miss you so," She hugged Dom back,
then swept all of them into her arms, "I will miss all of you so. I will
come back for every one of the Harem parties, and as often as I can at
other times. I promise." Several hours later, all of her fellow Harem
members were in the hanger to see her off. She hugged each and every one
of them, then turned to Sarah. "You take good care of my Lotor for me,
Promise?" Sarah nodded.
"Also, you'd better snare that Cossack fast. It's very obvious that
he loves you allot, and love like that only comes once or maybe twice in
a lifetime." The Doctor smiled as Diane turned and strode into the
ship.
There were many waves as the ship took off and disappeared into the
black, star-filled sky.
