Vestia

Fire Walker

The former heir to the Calinportain throne, Princess Vestia was recently disowned by her father. It seems Calinport, a very patriarchal planet, couldn't handle a woman who thought for herself!

Fed up with his daughter's wild ways, and forward manner, the King issued an ultimatum. "Stop this nonsense or else." Was what he said, and Vestia refused. The final straw was when news of her latest, lethal exploits reached his ears. He told her leave forever, or stay and be executed for the murders she had committed.

With a toss of her head, and sassy remarks, Vestia took off for parts unknown. Feeling relief, both at her being gone, and that he hadn't been forced to kill his own child, the King moved on, focusing all his energy on Vestia's twin sister. All this suited the stuck up Princess Virena. She now had no competition for the throne, or their father's attention!

Meanwhile, Vestia's shuttle cruiser soon ran into trouble. Calinport was a planet that didn't equip their spaceships with many (OR ANY!!) firepower. So you can imagine the odds she was facing when she came up against the forces of Doom. Luckily for her, Prince Lotor was on that ship, and ordered a cease fire. A tractor beam was locked onto her small ship, and the princess came face to face with the only man to ever best her in combat.

Flash back to three years earlier. King Zarkon had ordered his son to the Planet Calinport in his stead. Reluctantly agreeing, Lotor is dismayed to arrive at the height of Winter Solstice, a time when there is no fun to be had, ANYWHERE on the planet. Boring political business taken care of, Lotor comes across a party. It seems while everyone else is meditating and fasting, Princess Vestia was hosting her annual Solstice party. Open invitation to all who hates the rules and restrictions of Calinport. Needless to say, it was mainly youths who dared attend her party.

Missing the handsome Prince's arrival, Vestia was currently devoting all her energy to get out of an arranged marriage. Her method of choice is to beat the tar and stuffing out of the poor boy. Bellowing a challenge, Vestia proclaimed, "I shall only marry the one who can beat me!" And who should take her up on her offer, but the Prince of Doom himself!!

Lotor proved far better at hand to hand combat, forcing Vestia to use her fire magic for the first time in public. Lotor still managed to win, and with a smile, he gives her a kiss, whispering promises to return, and promptly left the planet.

Dazed, and angered, Vestia's first impression of Lotor is not a nice one. After all, she hated to lose at anything! Plus he had *forced* her to use her powers, revealing her secret. She was a fire witch, yet another thing for her father to look down upon. Vestia's powers came from her mother's side, and she had her Aunt to help her develop her gifts. Training began when she was three, and her Aunt taught her both magic and weaponry for almost five years. When Vestia's father learned that her Aunt was a firewitch, he had her executed. He had been waiting for a chance to strike, as the Aunt was quite the anarchist, always a pain in his butt.

Vestia continued her training by herself, her sister sometimes joining in. Luckily Virena seems to have no aptitude for magic. The only thing she inherited from their mother was the Fire Witches trade mark red hair, and not even the slanted golden eyes. Virena is already a pain, imagine what a terror she would be if she had actual power!

Before her banishment, Vestia heard rumors of her sister's quest for power. Virena would not be content to merely be a trophy wife, her husband having all the power once he married her.

Currently residing in the Lower Harems, Vestia awaits her next stage of Initiation. Unfortunately, it keeps getting delayed, be it invaders from another world, disappearing Scribes, or Fish Face himself! Add to it that Paddle Queen Gina is in a coma, Vestia doesn't know WHEN she'll get promoted! A lot of things have been bursting into flames, while Vestia pouts!
