CHILDREN'S INTERNATIONAL SUMMER VILLAGES

 

Children International Summer Villages (CISV) is a charitable organization providing cross-cultural, experiential education, outside the school system, for young people who exhibit cooperative skills, communication ability and leadership potential.

CISV helps to prepare individuals to asumme a contributing role in building peaceful communities globally.

CISV is completely independent of any goverment, political party, religious body or other "umbrella" organization.

CISV was founded in 1950 by DORIS ALLEN, a psychologist at the University of Cincinatti, Ohio, USA. Since 1951, over 142 000 delegates, aged 11-19, from 100 countries have participated in 3 765 official programme activities.
