| Laddie, my cousin's dog, and
Poochie, my "nephew". I didn't own either of these guys, but spent a lot of time with them. They were like my own. True Friends! I miss them.
| Female quail, and female pheasent (Goldie).
| Mother Quail on her nest.
| Female Bobwhite Quail displaying...either to attract a male or as a warning to keep back!
| Baby quails less than a week after hatching. These were hatched in an incubator.(1989)
| Sara...My favorite duck. (1983-1990) In her private pool with "adopted" duckling.
| Of all the outside birds I had, the mallard ducks were the most interesting. They would fly down to the pond I made in the woods, and walk back to the coop for feeding time.
| Hooter peaks over at Ma Mallard as she eats her duckweed.
| Myrtle and Gretchin. I had a few chickens, but they only lived a couple of years for me. Got plenty of eggs tho...
| Rusty Hinge...a beautiful bird, was impossible to handle! My quails used to chase him around the pen when they found out they could!
| I still have two of these ducks
now. (1994?)
