"Quotations"
For as long as I've remembered, I've kept a collection of quotes. They're always good for papers, and they usually have some special meaning. My favorites, the ones that have spoken to me in times of needs, and such are in italics. I hope that as you look through these sometimes strange and always (I hope!) interesting quotes, you'll find something that speaks to you.

"When the last eagle flies over the
last crumbling mountain
And the last lion roars at the last dusty fountain
In the shadow of the forest, though she may be old and worn
They will stare, unbelieving, at the last unicorn.
When the first breath of winter through
the flowers is icing
And you look to the north and the pale moon is rising
And it seems like all is dying and we'll leave the world to mourn
In the distance, hear the laughter of the last unicorn.
I'm alive...I'm alive!
When the last moon is cast over the last
star of morning
And the future that's passed without even a last desperate
warning
Then look into the sky where through the clouds our path is borne
Look and see her, how she sparkles, it's the last unicorn...
I'm alive...I'm alive!
-From The Last Unicorn
"After a while, you learn the
subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
And company doesn't mean security,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up, your eyes open
With the grace of woman, not the grief of a child,
And you learn to build all your roads on today
Because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans.
And futureshave a way of falling down in midflight.
After a while you learn
That even sunshine burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure...
That you really are strong.
And you really do have worth.
And you learn and learn...
With every good-bye, you learn.

Puisque c'est elle que j'ai ecoutee se plaindre, ou se vanter, ou
meme quelquefois se taire. Puisque c'est ma rose...
