* Each level above level 5 costs the same as level 5 (e.g. an artificial hand level 7 costs $50,000 + 2x$50,000 = $150,000). Also, if level is greater than 5, Structural Strengthening is required. The maximum effective level possible for the artificial limb equals to 5+level of the Structural Strengthening.

Tables Key:

Type: A general description of the cyberware.
Description: A short description of the device.
Cost: The price of the cyberware. Note that level dependent cyberware have a level dependent cost.
Essence: The amount of essence a person looses when assimilating the cyberware. A person’s essence can’t be reduced to 0 or less. Note that level dependent cyberware have a level dependent essence.

Head Cyberware

Brain Interface: The only devices that allows interface to the brain are DNI (Direct Neural Interface) and Vehicle Interface. An implanted computer or any data that needs to be routed to the brain must use a DNI.

Outside Interface: There are 4 interfaces from the brain to the outside world. The two data reading slots (MiniDisk and DataChip) can be used to read data from these data carrying devices). The Input Slot is a standard slot for connection with almost anything that transmits data. The Smart Pad is a way to connect to smart weapons. All the interfaces have to be connected to something on the inside for the data to be viewed/heard/sensed.

Visual Data: You can view visual data (pictures, movies, etc.) with an Artificial Eye and an Optic Readout. Another way is to send it to an Internal Computer and view it through there. Producing visual data can be done with an Artificial Eye.

Auditory Data: You can listen to auditory data (talk, songs, etc.) with an Artificial Ear and an Auditory Listener. Another way is to send it to an Internal Computer and listen to it through there. Producing auditory data can be done with an Artificial Ear.

SenseData: The only way to feel the SenseData is with a DNI (though it can still be sent to an Internal computer). Using such a data blocks all the user’s senses and physical neurological transmissions. The body in the real world is in the state of unconsciousness. Producing SenseData can be done with a DNI.

Internal Computer: An internal computer can output in visual data (Artificial Eye with an Optic Readout or a DNI) and must use a DNI to receive input. Note that data uploading and downloading can be done through any of the data slots (MiniDisk, DataChip or Input).

Smart Link: Smart Weapon data is considered visual data and thus needs either an Artificial Eye with an Optic Readout or a DNI.

CyberDeck Link: A CyberDeck link data is considered SenseData and thus must be interfaced with a DNI to the brain (through an Input Slot).

SkillSofts: In order to run SkillSofts, an Internal Computer with a DNI link must be used. Not that the software can be loaded during the implant, thus an output slot is not mandatory (though highly recommended). When using a physical SkillSoft, a NeuroLink Web is also required.
