Far above I fly
I go through cloud and sky
from above things are so small
cares like toys, the sun's a ball
Nothing can race the powers that push
me
no one can stop the scream of fire...
pushed beyond, I cross the ocean
my heart beats faster, my soul flies
higher
I close my eyes, but can not sleep
the sky is dark, the blackness deep
night befalls, the steel bird silent
in the sky, the stars shine bright
Sleep comes, with it dreams
suddenly the steel bird screams
its wing is hurt, can't move no more
fall it will, down to the sea's floor
But then, it lands on stripes of grey
in the land of tea and fog and rain
no time to meet the Queen, we're sorry
to another bird we go, please hurry
It takes off and sleep I can now...
to another land I go
my true love there awaits
finally I land and pass through gates...
And there... I see her
she looks at me and smiles
frightened a little, as am I
I hug her tightly and silently cry
My soul now flies cause I'm with her
my heart beats faster as I kiss her
hair
my eyes widen in delight and pleasure
as in my arms I hold my very own treasure
