Daemon, Travis/Dragonboy, Bobby, Joe, Micky, and the Drama Club are
my creation. Everyone else belongs to Joss.

Bobby pulled himself up onto the truck, letting his skateboard
fall behind. He'd pick it up on his way back. He unclipped his
grappling hook from the side of the vehicle, and crouched by Faith.
He sighed. He'd liked her. He really had. But now it was
too late. He felt for a pulse. She was alive, but not for much longer
if she didn't get any help.
"Course, that's not exactly what Buffy had in mind." he
muttered. Carefully, he lifted her in his arms, and jumped from the
truck. He hit the ground running, easily keeping his balance.
He'd gone two blocks when his path was blocked by a few
Vampires.
"I don't have time for this." he said. "Go away."
"Sorry," He turned and found that they'd surrounded him.
"The boss man wants her."
Bobby analyzed the situation. The last time he'd been
surrounded by this many Vamps he'd won. But then, that time Faith
and he had been on the same side. That and she'd been conscious. "I
can always follow them and take her back later." he reasoned.
"Fine." he said. "She's all yours."

Joe hung up the phone with a sigh. He'd gotten hold of both
the Drama Club alumni, and the current members, and told them that
the Mayor was planning a massacer during graduation. He'd advised the
alumni to stay away, but if they had to come, to bring some manner of
weapon.
He'd also tried to convince the graduating seniors to skip the
ceremony. But they'd told him that if they did, they wouldn't get
their diplomas. So he gave them the same warning he'd given the
alumni.
"Only thing to do now," he thought, is wait.

"Wow," Bobby thought, watching from the hall, minus his Hunter
uniform. "This guy really looks like he cares for her. That's kind
of, unusual for evil isn't it?"
He'd followed the vamps to the hospital, where the Mayor
checked her in. He watched for a moment, then strode to the next room,
where Buffy had been brought in by her boyfriend a moment ago.
"Lot goes on in this town in a short amount of time." he said.
"Tell me about it." Angel agreed. "So you're some kind of
Male Slayer?"
"Some kind." Bobby agreed. "I've got the strength and
resiliancy, but I've also got increased reflexes, speed and agility. I
might be a bit stronger than her and Faith too, but I've never tested
it. But I don't have the mark. So we don't know what I am." He
looked sidelong at Angel.
"So you're the guy that has a revolving door for his soul?"
	"Pretty much."

Travis and Daemon entered the library, and saw two kids, a
girl and a boy, and what must have been the librarian studying anchient
texts.
"Um," Travis said. "Hi, is Buffy Summer around?"
The boy snickered. "That's getting to be a familiar phrase
tonight."

Angel had gone to call the library, Bobby, to answer the call
of nature. They both returned at the same time, to see the Mayor
trying to suffocate Buffy.
Angel, his superior affection for Buffy lending him speed,
got there first. He threw the mayor across the room. Bobby watched,
with a bit of interest, a bit of apprehension as the exchange went on.

When Xander, Cordy, Giles, Travis and Daemon arrived, Angel
and Bobby went to meet them.
Angel's eyes immediately went to Daemon, there was something
about him. Something that set his demon on edge. Then he realized.
He was getting the same sort of vibes from this boy, as he got from
Wistler.
"The shades to hide your eyes?" he asked.
	"Good guess."
Angel explained what had happened, and then, after absorbing
a few veiled, and a few unvieled remonstrations, left.
"Don't judge him too harshly guys." Bobby said. "From the look
on Buffy's face before we separated, I'd say she wouldn't have left the
choice up to him."

Joe was the first person Oz told. He was surprised to
find that the alumnus had already done what he was about to ask him to
do. To inform the Drama Club about what was going to happen. He
quickly explained the rest of the plan.
"And it looks like, there's not going to be an actual ritual."
he said. "I think it'll just automatically happen when the eclipse
comes."
"Oh," Joe said. "Well I'll throw dirt on him anyway."
	"Why?" Oz asked.
	"Because I'm an angry youth."

Daemon and Travis had taken up positions on the balconys,
waiting for their moment to strike. They were to help distract the
Mayor, and kill him if they could.
Bobby was with Angel, gathering an army of parents. He was to
help make sure that the kids got away. By taking out Vamps.
Joe stood ready to help defend.
The eclipse came, and the mayor began to change, slowly at
first, then faster and faster. He seemed distressed when Joe's mud
ball smacked him in the face, but then his face lost the ability to
change expression.
"That's our cue!" Travis yelled, and erupted into his hybrid
form. Letting his Dragon blood fuel him with rage. His wings carried
him to the huge serpent, even as Daemon leaped for him as well.
The monster screamed as Daemon shot bolt after bolt of dark
magical energy into it's head. Then Dragonboy's claws bit into it's
hide, and his fiery breath seared it. It was in pain, enormous pain,
but it was strong.
"Not what you expected Mother fu-oof!" With a swipe of it's
tail, it swatted Daemon out of the sky. He landed hard, grunting with
the impact. The tail had hurt him, being magical, but not the ground.
Dragonboy held on, but then the former mayor twisted it's head,
and lunged for him.
"Uh oh!" Travis barely dodged, taking huge chunks out of the
beast as he did so.
Meanwhile, Joe ran with the others. It was Buffy's show now.
He'd been in the forefront, helping to clear the way. Then, when most
had gotten clear, he helped any stragglers. He'd wished he'd seen the
looks on the Vampires' faces when the army of angry parents, and alumni
cut off their retreat.
Bobby took out Vamp after Vamp, glorying in the shocked
expression they'd gotten on their faces when they met an armed and
ready to fight crowd, instead of a panicked mob.

Finally, it was all over. Joe drove some of his friends to
the huge party at the bronze, and spotted a small group of students
walking down the street.
"Hey Buffy!" he called, rolling down the window. "There's
a big grad party at the Bronze!"
Buffy walked over to the car as it parked by the side of the
road. "I'm pretty tired." she apologized.
"Understandable." he sympathized. "But from what I hear, you'd
be the guest of honor. Your friends from out of town are gonna be
there."
Buffy smiled. "What the heck. I'll probably fall asleep."
she warned. "But yeah. We'll be there."
Joe smiled. "Glad to hear it. And Buffy, thanks."
"No problem." Buffy answered, and headed back to her friends.
"No problem at all."
