Chapter 7
Gladiator had not seen anyone like these aliens before. Some
were dressed in white armor, some wore grey tunics and had pointed
ears. But to Gladiator they were all the same. Intruders to be dealt
with. As soon as they saw him, the intruders opened fire.
"Are you so foolish?" Gladiator asked incredulously as the energy
beams glanced harmlessly off his body. Beside him, Mentor observed the
aliens, planning an effective counter-attack. The rest of the Imperial
Guard was elsewhere in the ship. Small groups like these had transported
all over the ship.
"You need to ask?" asked a voice behind him. Cybo had quickly
responded to the alarm grateful for the opportunity to finally make use of
his talents.
"Good of you to join us Cybo." Gladiator said coolly.
"There are more intruders elsewhere Roge." Mentor said. "We
can take care of these, go protect the Empress."
"It shall be done. Personal Transport, deck 55." With a flash of
light, he was gone.

"Our prey is this way!" the Night Sister proclaimed. The horde of
Storm Troopers and Romulans swarmed towards the Empress' quarters. The
other boarding parties had done their job admirably, diverting attention
from the main focus of the attack. The capture of Empress Lilandra.
"Sorry folks," a voice ahead of them said. "You've strayed from the
rest of the tour group. This is the Employees Only wing." Before them
stood a figure in grey armor. He stood unarmed with his arms crossed in
front of him like a bouncer.
"Destroy that fool!" Night Sister screamed with rage.
"Temper temper, Short dark and Sexy." Cybo laughed as the
soldiers opened fire. The blasts were absorbed by his armor and added
to his power supply. "I'm sorry, was that supposed to hurt?" No known
forms of energy could penetrate his armor. Had any of the energy forms
being used damaged the armor, the energy would have been
instantaneously analyzed, allowances made, and they would never affect
him again. He reached to his thigh and removed his gun from it's hidden
holster.
He had never seen people like these before, but even now
their biological functions and everything else about them that could be
read by his sensors were being recorded.
"Now it's my turn." He opened fire. Blaster and Disrupter fire
filled the air as the soldiers on the fore front covered their companions as
they fell back. His gun was only on stun, any prisoners would be quite
informative.
"I'll handle this whelp!" The Night Sister pointed her fingers at
Cybo and Dark Force Lightning poured forth and struck Cybo, flinging him the
length of the corridor.
Cybo struck the wall hard, and fell to his back. The impact with
the corridor wall didn't hurt him, but the lightning from that leather-clad
bitch's fingers had. He lay paralyzed, watching as the intruders ran past
him to attack his Empress. When no orders were forthcoming from him, the
computer activated the psi interface. This allowed him to think his
commands into the computer. Cybo watched the expected words flash across
his vision on his shades.
	"ANALYZING FORCE USED IN ATTACK...FORCE
ANALYZED...SHIELD RECALIBRATION DONE...PARALYSIS DETECTED IN
HOST. DO YOU WISH TO BE REVIVED?"
*Yes.* Cybo felt a tiny prick in his arm as the drugs were injected
into his system.
"ESTIMATED TIME TO EFFECTIVE REVIVAL, 1 MINUTE."
	*Activate automatic pilot.*
"AUTOMATIC PILOT ENGAGED. PROCEED WITH MISSION:
PROTECT EMPRESS LILANDRA, STOP INTRUDERS." The armor, with
Cybo inside it, got up, and headed after the intruders.

"Why are you showing me this Q?" Jubilee asked. "Who is this
guy?" Jubilee tried to sound impatient, but in truth, she was unsure. The
boy had said Will's favorite line `I'm sorry was that supposed to hurt?'
But she wasn't sure Q could be trusted.
"Oh come now Jubilation, are you telling me you don't recognize
the love of your life, the apple of your eye? I'm sure he'd be most
distressed to hear that if he still remembered you. I've got an idea, why
not go in for a closer look?" With a flash of light, Jubilee and Q
vanished.

Empress Lilandra sat in her quarters, unworried. Her aid, Oracle
was equally confident in the Imperial Guard's ability to repel the
intruders. At present, Lilandra was speaking to one of the many ambassadors
on her holocomm.
The Ambassador was a short squat creature with brown,
wrinkled skin. He had almost no legs to speak of, but his long toed feet
enabled him to waddle quite swiftly when necessary. His arms
however were long and spindly ending in long fingered hands. His long
narrow neck gave him a slightly humorous appearance, with his head
that jutted right out from it. Lilandra wondered how he was able to
support it.
The ambassador's race was a kind, soft spoken one with mild
telepathic powers. They were able to communicate quite well with
plants and animals. The extant of their forays into the galaxy were as
botanists. They also had the ability to heal with their index fingers.
"Empress Lilandra." Ambassador Melnik said. "It is a great
pleasure to speak to you again my friend." He accented his statement
with his heartlight. When his race felt strongly for anyone, their hearts
literally glowed.
"As it is for me to speak to you Melnik." Lilandra smiled. "I look
forward to seeing you at the conference, I..."
The image of the ambassador began to break up.
	"Lil..dra? What...happening?"
The door to Lilandra's quarters burst open, and the Night Sister
entered with her remaining Storm Troopers. Before either Lilandra or Oracle
could mount their defenses, she thrust out with the force. Lilandra, and
Oracle hit the floor silently.
Unseen to all, Q and Jubilee watched the whole thing from the
hall. Q, as usual had an amused smile on his face.
"What are smiling about Q?" Jubilee demanded. "This is terrible!
I've got to tell the Professor!"
"Oh he'll know soon enough. And besides, it's not over yet."
Just as the intruders were beaming out with their prisoners, Cybo
entered the room. He quickly assessed the situation and came to a
decision.
"Engage cloak, lock onto Lilandra, personal transport to her
location." Cybo vanished in a burst of light.
"Now then," Q said. "I believe you had something to tell Xavier."
Q waved his hand, and Jubilee suddenly found herself alone in the clearing
she had just left. Without pause, she hurried back to the
mansion.
