Resounding plods on silently, head bobbing as he walks.  The air has gotten a little cooler but not much.  A large mountain can be seen in the far distance, ringed by clouds.
Finally, you both reach ANOTHER meadow, but this one has many large trees scattered around.  A large light brown che'ranin is louging in the sun, his tail swishing through the grass lazily.  A small cub lays at his side, sleeping soundly.  Resounding approaches them quietly, motioning for you not to wake the cub.
"Greetings Da'Jin." Resounding whispers to the larger creature.
The adult looks up at the both of you, using a wing to shade his eyes so the sun isn't in his eyes.
"Hey Resounding.  What's up?" the Che'ranin inquires.  The pup at his side stirs slightly but stays sound asleep.
Resounding smiles.  "Just doing my job.  How's the little one?"
"She's fine.  Just tired." He smiles.  You watch the two.
"Is she your daughter?" you ask, curious.  Da'Jin laughs softly.
"No no.  I don't have my own pack yet.  She's from our homeland.  I just care for her."  Da'Jin nods to himself and lays his head down in the grass.  Resounding nickers and bobs his head in farewell, then continues on his way.
"The Rakishi are next..."
