Dock Quarter Plate

In return for saving his life, a wizard created this armor for the captain of the guard in a bustling city. As the captain spent most of his time at the dock quarter (hence the name; this is a complete set of plate, not a quarter set) of this port city, the wizard created the armor with that in mind.

This is field plate, specially fitted for the captain. It was designed for a muscular human of 6'. It can be re-fitted for a human or humanoid between 5'11' and 6'1"; any further manipulation would render the armor non-magical. The base AC for the plate is 1, and it is magical plate+3 in addition to its other powers.

The plate mail confers water-breathing to the owner as long as it is worn. Wearer can cast "Hold Person" 3/day and "Hold Monster" 3/day. A proficiency in pummeling is granted as well. The wearer can also comprehend and speak common, elven, dwarven, gnome, and orc regardless of his intelligence and in addition to any other languages known.
