Ring of Improbability

I used this item once in a session of mine, and it resulted to be a higly "frustrating" item for my
adventurers. This ring can be as good as it can be bad. He is just...improbable.

Hystory of the ring: crafted by one of the less knowed great mages, Balinor of the EagleKeep, this
ring was made for the great king Arkull. Still, to prevent it from stealing, Balinor introduced a special
magical cantrip on it that would allow the ring to identify his user. Years passed, and the ring passed
from one king to another, until one day a little bit greater mage entered the realm, slained the king
and Balinor, and took the ring for himself. As he took it, the magical code started, and almost killed
the mage. Still, he managed to take it off from him, causing the ring to become unstable.

The ring trick: this ring can be incredibly good, as it can be incredibly bad. It depends of the luck of
the person who wears it. When a character wears it, the master rolls a 1d10 dice. Depending on the
            result, the character can receive:

            1. strength, constitution and dexterity -3
            2. character is able to see in dark
            3. halves half of players HP
            4. doubles players hp
            5. iq -7 (the idiot sindrom)
            6. players gain the feather fall ability
            7. charisma -7 (I'm so ugly)
            8. strength, dexterity and constitution +2
            9. wraith form
            10. opposite alignement (for ex. chaotic good becames lawful evil, lawful neutral becomes chaotic neutral, only neutral neutral don't change)

Tips 'n tricks: this is no common ring, and a great magic is upon him. No remove curse spell can affect him, since he isn't cursed. A limited wish, wish or simply cutting players finger can be a solution. The player is, of course, not aware of the effect of the ring. The mystical power of the ring can be identifyed only by a spellcaster of level >10. The ring doesn't affect the next classes: vampire, paladin,  kender (actualy, the ring has the ability to "escape" from kenders, to flee. Probably a cantrip set on him by his creator)
