The Sword of Ego Stealing

The Sword of Ego Stealing is a bit more than a normal cursed, sentient weapon. It is a tool of annoyance bordering on divine in nature.

The sword is a chaotic neutral long sword +4, but if wielded in combat, it inflicts one point of damage, then shatters. The owner must point the hilt at the shards next round, and the pieces reform. When drawn, the wielder raises the sword high above his head in a heroicly stupid looking gesture. All those involved in combat must stop what they are doing and look at the sword, saying the words "Egad, that is a mighty sword." All targets lose all actions they were performing that round. There is no save. The wielder will always use this sword above all others. Giving the sword to another requires the use of a Wish spell. It cannot be destroyed by any means known. The sword never communicates with it's "owner."
