In Battle Chasers Prelude, we are introduced to Gully. She is reading a book in her father Aramus' study, called Strategy of War. Her nanny is downstairs speaking to the captain of the Royal Guardsmen, when there is a knock at the door. The Guardsmen hide in the closet as she opens the door. Four men enter claiming that they are highly skilled bounty trackers, and that they have the authority to take any personal items belonging to Aramus for clues. Nanny inspects the documents they show her. They seemed okay. They asked nanny if there were any other family members they, but she told them she was alone. The guardsmen came out of the closet and drew the swords. They told the trackers that they knew of their true nature, because they found the bodies of the real trackers. Seeing that there was no use pretending anymore, the trackers pressed a button on their clothes and transformed into werewolves. They killed the guards, then went after nannny, she took a chest out of the fireplace and gave it to Gully. Gully held tight unto the chest and ran.
In the first Battle Chasers, we see gully running from the werewolves she met in Battle Chasers prelude. The four werewolves catch up to Gully and one grabs her. He swings her around a bit and tells her to give them the chest. She refuses so they tell her to run. She runs away and finds herself in Granok, a town abandoned because of a massive flood. She hides in what looks like a shed, but the wolves suspect her hiding in there and break in through the wall. hey tell her that she put up more of a fight than her father Aramus. She get angry an picks up a pick-axe, but the handle breaks off. She takes the wooden piece and stabs the wolf in his side, and says her father is not dead, then begins running again. Outside she runs into a cloaked stranger. She falls and he has the chest in his hands. She thinks he his after the chest, but he gives it back to her. Then, a gun comes out of his arm and he shoots three bullets, the bullets pass Gully and hit the werewolf behind her. Another werewolf shoots arrows into the strangers back after seeing what happened to the other werewolf. It does no damage. The stranger shoots a flame thrower, but the wolf jumps out of the way, then the stranger catches him and slams him to the ground. Suddenly lightning strike the stranger, revealing him to be a wargolem. Temporarily down, the wolves jump at him, but he releases the lightning and blasts the two wolves. Now we are introduced to Garrison. He is at Death's Door Saloon in Vandalheim, a haven for rogues murderers and worse. Monika walks in and tells him that she is giving him an offer. She is offering him a chance to prove that he hasn't lost his edge. She has been hired to spring a prisoner from Skyhold. He was the infamous terrorist Ryon Del Soya, she shows Garrison the layout of the place and tells him that he needs him to break a few heads, should things get rough. He laughs at the idea, one of her henchmen threatens Garrison but she stops him. She tells Garrison to do it, and go to hell.
Gully and the wargolem exchange introductions. She asks Calibretto what he was doing out here. He replied that he was planting special seeds that could only be planted at night in the rich soil near Granok. gully starts to cry, then explains her story to Calibretto.
One of the werewolves finds himself in the middle of the forest looking for his master. He finds him and tells him that all of the other werewolves were gone and he was th only survivor because of the wargolem. He tells his master that he needs more firepower to defeat the wargolem. The master tells him that he will have what he needs but better not fail him again.
Now we see Knolan, he has insomnia so he's searching his spellbook for a cure. The pages then began to turn themselves to a map of the Mana rifts. The Mana region on the page began to burn up. Then there is a sound at the door. It's Calibretto carrying Gully. She tells her story to Knolan then he opens the chest. They find Aramus' Gauntlets.
