Part One
*A baby,* Angel thought as he stared up at the ceiling in his and Buffy's apartment, the same one he had when he had first met her.
Buffy was nuzzled up next to him he thought she was sound asleep so he got up to get a drink. Even though he was a half vampire he still need to drink blood. He pulled out the Clamato bottle that he kept in the far back of the refrigerator. He had written 'Angel's HANDS OFF' on the bottle in case if they ever had company that didn't know of his "condition" to put it like Xander did two weeks before.
"A baby," he said again this time aloud. Suddenly he caught a squeal of delight and soft feet kick the mattress.
"I thought you were asleep," Angel said to his wife.
"I was faking," Buffy said.
"Could've fooled me," Angel said casually that just hinted sarcasm.
"I did."
"So, tomorrow we tell the entire group. Elaina, Willow, Giles...Everyone. Right?" Angel said with a pride that he soon would be a father even though he attempted to conceal it. He never even had the though that he would be capable of having children, even after Jenny's clan turned him half-human.
The thought of Ms. Calendar made his blood, what little he had, run cold. He had healed a lot since his return from Hell but he had all of his memories back of the months that the demon that wore his face tried to torture his darling Buffy, which involve killing Ms. Calendar.
When he got back, he had his soul and his conscience nagged at him all the time. He couldn't live with himself. Buffy tried to get close to him, but he would just push her away. He was cold and distant. He was afraid, no, terrified that he would harm her again. That was until Jenny's people felt guilty. They wanted to make Angel full human, which was impossible. But they did the next best thing they made him a half vampire. He could age starting from the age he became a vampire, 20, and he could go out in the light of day. They also extracted the "one moment of true happiness" part in the curse. Angel had to get a job. So he got employment where he could be near Buffy, at the high school.
"Yep," Buffy said getting up from wooden oak bed. By this time, Angel was done drinking. Even though they had been married for several years now, he hated to show the demon that came out when he drank, or when he was upset and couldn't control his emotions. So, the demon went unchecked. Except when Angel and Buffy made love. Then the demon pretty much sat in a corner of Angel's mind and body and twiddled its thumbs. "I'll tell them during Elaina's and everyone's lunch hour."
"Did you become principal just so you, me, and your friends..."
"OUR friends," Buffy corrected.
"Sorry, OUR friends could all have the same lunch hours?" Angel inquired.
"No, not JUST that reason. I didn't want anyone to go through what I did with, quiver, Snyder," Buffy said. "But it helped," she added.
"But are you sure everyone can come? I mean Giles, Willow, and Elaina aren't the only ones that need to be told. Everyone has their own life," Angel asked making sure his wife planned everything.
"Well, Oz comes down for Willow's lunch hour anyway. Cordelia and Xander just returned from New York, and you know the policy that they made after Jackie. If were gone out of town even if its just one city over and for one day, they spend their time on slayer business till they have to leave again. And this would be slayer business, wouldn't you say?"
Angel responded with a kiss. They had never been happier.
More, Soon.
Part 2 will be up soon. Also I'm working on a sequel/presequel (don't ask)
