Prophecies in books

Prophecy #1:

By winter's breath, the counted shadows shall bloom. If the heir to D'Hara's vengeance counts the shadows true, his umbra will dark the world. If he counts false, then his life is forfeit.

Type of Prophecy: True, Forked

Meaning:
By winter's breath,

Before winter solstice,
the counted shadows shall bloom.
The boxes of Orden will be opened.
If the heir to D'Hara's vengeance counts the shadows true,
The "heir to D'Hara's vengeance" refers to Darken Rahl and "counts the shadows true" means if he opens the right box.
his umbra will dark the world.
He will control the world for his own designs.
If he counts false,
If he opens the wrong box,
then his life is forfeit.
He will die.

Prophecy #2:

Should the forces of forfeit be loosed, the world will be shadowed yet by darker lust through what has been rent. Salvation's hope, then, will be as slim as the white blade of the one born true.

Type of Prophecy: True, Fork of #1

Meaning
Should the forces of forfeit be loosed,

If Darken Rahl opens any box of Orden,
the world will be shadowed yet by darker lust through what has been rent.
"shadowed yet by darker lust" means that the world will be in greater danger because of "what has been rent", the veil.
Salvation's hope, then, will be as slim as the white blade of the one born true.
The "white blade of the one born true" is referring to the Sword of Truth, meaning that Richard is the one born true. This also means that Richard maybe the hope or the "destroyer" of that hope.

Prophecy #3:

Vengeance under the master will extinguish every adversary. Terror, hopelessness, and despair will reign free.

Type of Prophecy: False, Fork of #1

Meaning
Vengeance under the master will extinguish every adversary.

If Darken Rahl had opened the box of Orden that would allow him to control the world, he would have killed or bent to his will all of his enemies.
Terror, hopelessness, and despair will reign free.
Rahl's rule would bring all of these on the populace.

Prophecy #4:

Of all there were, but a single one born of magic to bring forth truth will remain alive when the shadow's threat is lifted. Therefore comes the greater darkness of the dead. For there to be a chance at life's bond, this one in white must be offered to her people, to bring their joy and good cheer.

Type of Prophecy: True

Meaning
Of all there were, but a single one born of magic to bring forth truth will remain alive when the shadow's threat is lifted.

"Born of magic to bring forth truth" refers to confessors and their magic. Only one Confessor, Kahlan, will live after the threat of Orden is over.
"Therefore comes the greater darkness of the dead.
This refers to the tear in the veil.
For there to be a chance at life's bond,
For anyone to remain alive,
this one in white must be offered to her people,
"This one in white" is Kahlan, the only confessor left, specifically the white-wearing Mother Confessor. "must be offered to her people" means that she must be killed for the people of the Midlands,
to bring their joy and good cheer.
And the people must be happy about it.

Prophecy #5:

The Seeker who commands the wind against the heir to D'Hara

Type of Prophecy: Partial

Meaning
Since it is only a piece of the whole prophecy it is hard to say what it really means.
The Seeker who commands the winds
This can mean various things. It could have to do with commanding the red dragon Scarlet without coercion. It may mean that Richard is the first in a long time to have both sides of the magical gift. Most likely, it could mean that Richard is the first person to have full understanding of the Temple of the Winds, also known as the "winds". It could also be another Seeker later who can command the winds.
heir to D'Hara
Zedd said that this is a reference to Darken Rahl but it could be a reference to Richard or even Richard's son. If it is a reference to Darken Rahl, then Richard must somehow be able to command the wind. If it is a reference to Richard, then there will be a new Seeker. If it is a reference to Richard's son, in my opinion the most likely, then Richard will have to use the magic of the Temple of the Winds against his own son. Another theory I've heard is that Richard, the Seeker, commands Zedd, the "wind of death" in the Boundary War, against Darken, the heir to D'Hara. I also heard that this one came from the horse's mouth, the great Goodkind himself. But you make your own decision. You never know, it could mean the all!

Prophecy #6:

On the red moon will come the firestorm. The one bonded to the blade will watch as his people die. If he does nothing, then he, and all those he loves will die in its heat, for no blade, forged of steel or conjured of sorcery, can touch this foe.
To quench the inferno, he must seek the remedy in the wind. Lighning will find him on that path, for the one in white, his true beloved, will betray him in her blood.

Type of Prophecy: Bound Fork

Meaning
On the red moon
The sign of the Temple of the Winds
will come a firestorm.
The plague
The one bonded to the blade
Richard
will watch as his people die
of the plague
If he does nothing, then he, and all those he loves will die in its heat...
Richard and Kahlan and Co. will also die if they don't try to stop it.
To quench the inferno,
To stop the plague
he must seek the remedy in the wind
Richard can find the cure to the plague in the Temple of the Winds
Lighning will find him on that path,
During the storm
for the one in white, his true beloved,
Kahlan
will betray him
To allow Richard into the Temple of the Winds, Kahlan believes that she has sex with Drefan, even though it is really Richard. She betrayed Richard by believing in the sex with Drefan.
in her blood
It happened during Kahlan's period.

Jebra's Vision's

About Richard:

#1
There was an image of a woman, a beautiful woman with long hair. Maybe a confessor, although I don't know how that could be...The woman's face and his love for her filled the aura.
This is from Stone of Tears and refers to Richard's love for Kahlan.

#2
I saw him killing a man, but I couldn't tell how. Not with blood, but killing him just the same and then I saw the man he was going to kill: Darken Rahl and I saw that it was his father, but he didn't know it. That was when I knew who he was: the son of Darken Rahl, the soon to be Master Rahl. The aura was flashing in terrible conflicts. Commoner to king.
This is from Stone of Tears and refers to Richard killing Darken Rahl by having him open the wrong box of Orden. Although Richard didn't know it at the time, Darken Rahl was his father and, by killing him, Richard became Lord Rahl and leader of D'Hara.

#3
One was of something around his neck. I couldn't tell what, but it was something that will cause him great pain, and take him from his woman...Kahlan, you said her name was...take him from everyone he loves. Lock him away.
This is from Stone of Tears and refers to Richard's being collared by the Sisters of the Light and taken to the Palace of the Prophets to be trained as a wizard.

#4
I saw him in an hourglass. He was on his knees in the bottom of the half, crying in anguish, the sand falling all around him, but not a grain touching him. The gravestones of all those he loved were in the top half, where he couldn't reach them against the fall of the sand.
This is from Stone of Tears and refers to Richard's time at the Palace of the Prophets. The palace had a wizard's web cast on it that slowed the aging process of those living there. Since Richard's training was supposed to take hundreds of years, those he loved would be dead by the time he left the Palace.

#5
I saw a knife at his heart, a killing knife, held in his own shaking hands.
This is from Stone of Tears and this may have to do with Richard's taking the yabree through the sliph. Then again, it may not...

#6
He was in his fine red coat, the one with gold buttons and brocade trim. He was facedown...a knife in his back. He was dead, but at the same time, he wasn't. His own hands reached down to roll him over, but before I saw his dead face another vision came.
This is from Stone of Tears and it refers to the part where Richard lent his red coat to Perry, a friend at the Palace of the Prophets and Pasha kills Perry by mistake.

#7
He was screaming. I could even smell the burning skin. Then, whatever was burning him-I couldn't tell what it was-when it pulled back, he was unconscious, and there was a mark upon him. a mark burned into him...It was the mark of the dead, a mark of the keeper of the underworld. The keeper had marked him to be his own.
This is from Stone of Tears and it refers to the gathering that Richard calls with the Mud People. During the gathering Darken Rahl escapes the underworld and leaves the mark of the keeper on Richard's chest. The mark slowly draws him into the underworld, but before it can kill him Denna's spirit comes and takes the mark to herself leaving only the scar behind.

About Kahlan:

Circles. I see the Mother Confessor running around in circles.
This is from Blood of the Fold and refers to the circle spell that Lunetta would soon cast on her. The spell caused Kahlan to walk in circles even though she thought she was going straight.

About Zedd:

Well, you are up in the air, with these wings, and you are dropped into a huge ball of flame.
This is from Blood of the Fold and it refers to Zedd's flight on Gratch to the Wizard's Keep in Aydindril. When they reached the Keep, they were attacked by mriswith so Zedd used Wizard's fire on them.

Shota's Sayings:

About Richard:

#1
Zedd will use the wizard's fire against you.
This is from Wizard's First Rule and refers to when Richard is under the effects of the enemy web placed by Darken Rahl. Richard approaches Zedd, Kahlan, and Chase to see if they have the last box of Orden but the enemy web makes them see Richard as Darken Rahl. Zedd automatically uses Wizard's fire against Richard. Richard easily use the sword to protect himself from the fire.

#2
Kahlan has a power, and if she isn't killed, she will use that power against you.
This is from Wizard's First Rule and refers to when Richard is under the effects of the enemy web and Kahlan has gone into the Con-Dar. Kahlan sees Richard as Darken Rahl and uses her power on him. But becuase he already loves her, it has no effect on him.

#3
If you lie with this woman, she will have a male child. ... From Kahlan, the boy would be a Confessor. From you, he will have the gift.
Shota's warning to Richard from Stone of Tears about having a child with Kahlan. It seems that Shota can see (quite clearly) that if they do, it will be a powerful male Confessor with the gift of Additive Magic (and most likely Subtractive too). Of course we all know what living male Confessors can do. DARK TIMES ALL OVER AGAIN! HOORAY!!

#4
You will be trapped in time. ... You will have no chance of closing the veil unless you escape the trap. ... Unless you learn something of the gift, you have no chance for either.
This is from Stone of Tears and refers to Richard's stay at the Palace of the Prophets, which has a spell causing people there age slowly (the trap in time). Richard's main task in the book is closing the veil. Of course, he can't do that unless he's working with the Boxes of Orden. And he can't get out of the Palace of the Prophets, or close the Box without a fully functional use of his magic.

#5
I see you both being wedded.
This refers to the marriages of Richard to Nadine and Kahlan to Drefan.

#6
You have not heard the last message from the winds. You will recieve one more, involving the moon. This will be the consequential communion.
This refers to the demands made by the Andolians carrying the message from the Temple of the Winds. It was Richard's and Kahlan's final choice to save their people from the plague at the sacrifice of their happiness and marriage.

Warren's Prophecies:

Prophecy #1:

When the prelate and the prophet are given to the light in the sacred rite, the flames will bring to boil a cauldron of guile and give ascension to a false prelate, who will reign over the death of the palace of the prophets. To the north, the one bonded to the blade will abandon it for the silver sliph, for he will breath her back to life, and she will deliver him into the arms of the wicked.

Meaning
When the prelate and the prophet are give to the light in the sacred rite,

When Annalina and Nathan are "burnt" in the ceremony,
the flames will bring to boil a cauldron of guile and give ascension to a false prelate,
The "cauldron of guile" is the trial of Prelate Verna and the "false prelate" is Ulicia, who replaced her as Prelate.
who will reign over the death of the palace of the prophets.
Ulicia was in power when Richard destroyed the palace.
To the north, the one bonded to the blade will abandon it for the silver sliph,
"The one bonded to the blade" refers to Richard, the Seeker, and "abandon it for the silver sliph" refers to when he had to leave the sword behind to enter the sliph.
for he will breath her back to life,
He will call the sliph back,
and she will deliver him into the arms of the wicked.
The sliph takes him to the Old World into the group of mriswith.

Prophecy #2

This prophecy was never actually stated. However, after Warren's headaches returned, he told Verna that she must go after the Sisters taken by Jagang as she previously planned and he must come with her if he was to have any chance to live. He came along, and after many trials and tribulations, Warren was (partially) healed by Nathan, thereby validating the prophecy.

Prophecy #3:

Patronizing past carries forward the same disfavor twisted to new use, for a new master...

Type: Partial

Meaning:
Unknown. Warren gave this prophecy while controlled by Jagang. After he had his "lesson" with Nathan, he realized that he had "inadventently given Jagang insight into a prophecy that-" The end was cut off by the attack of Jagang's sisters on Nathan, Clarissa, and Verna. I have a theory on this one. I think that the spirit of Ricker will return, brought back by Jagang. He will use Ricker's desire to weaken magic to his own ends, to destroy magic. Hey, it makes sense, "patronizing past" is Ricker and the "new master" is Jagang. Maybe the three chimes allow spirits to return to the world of life...

Miscellaneous

#1
The prophecies say that the one who truly masters the sword's magic, and in doing so turns the blade white, will be protected from that fate.
This was spoken by Zedd to Richard after Richard asked Zedd if the sword's magic would have the same effect on him as it did on Samuel. As expected, Richard was able to turn the blade white by using love to control the magic of the sword.

#2
When Kahlan was young she was taught by wizards. Some drunken wizards taught her this and scared the [blank] out her. Little did she know that it's all about Richard...

The Screeling Song

The screelings are loose and the Keeper may win.
His assassins have come to rip off your skin.
Golden eyes will see you if you try to run.
The screelings will get you and laugh like it's fun.

Walk away slow or they'll tear you apart,
And laugh all day long as they rip out your heart.
Golden eyes will see you if you try to stand still.
The screelings will get you, for the Keeper they kill.

Hack 'em up, chop 'em up, cut 'em to bits
Or else they will get you while laughing in fits.
If the screelings don't get you the Keeper will try,
To reach out and touch you, your skin he will fry.

Your mind he will flail, your soul he will take
You'll sleep with the dead, for life you'll forsake.
You'll die with the Keeper till the end of time.
He hates that you live, Your life is the crime.

The screelings might get you, it says so in text.
If the screelings don't get you the Keeper is next,
lest he who's born true can fight for life's bond.
And that one is marked; He's the pebble in the pond.
