Naudlin
The village of Naudlin is located on Redmarch's east coast, some two days travel north-northeast of Starport. It has around seventy inhabitants including Malken, the village elder, and Celeste, a local herb-woman. Naudlin is primarily a fishing village, being famed for it's lobsters and shellfish, and the inhabitants regularly take their catch down the coastline to sell in the capital city. The villagers grow more grain and vegetables than they need, and these are sometimes taken along with the shellfish, though more often by cart, to sell in Starport. Naudlin is self sufficient and, in addition to the food grown, the people raise a number of animals including cattle, pigs, sheep and chickens.
There are no temples in Naudlin, although the residents make regular offerings at small shrines to Hallar and Nedon, and the only significant building is the one known as the Ale Hall, which doubles both as an ale house and a meeting place. Being essentially fishermen and farmers the villagers have few combat skills and rely for their protection on the military forces of Redmarch. The village has existed in safety for many years as the last bands of orcs and goblins were purged from the area a long time ago.
