There are two new stories for the fanfic update today. Sadly, I didn't have much time to read last week, but I'll be sure to have a large update next Monday (alongwith the premiere pics--Sunday can't get here fast enough! :o) )
TVGuide has the interview with David on their site, and DuchovnyNet has some great scans of the two pictures. And speaking of DD, Duchovnyfan.com has some RTM screen grabs up!

Sunday, October 29
I haven't had a lot of free time this week, so I know the updates were a little sparse, but hopefully this week will be back to normal. The good news is, it's only one week until the premiere! Some trailer pictures were added over the weekend, and don't forget to give X-Props II: Amor Decertatio a try--lots of prizes to win!
Sunday, October 22
More trailer pictures! I was actually up last night thinking they were going to play Field Trip (duh, it's today--I soon figured that out *L*) but right before One Son came on, as another show was going off, Fox played yet another trailer. So I've added those to the trailer page. You can also click on the trailer pic over to the right--I moved it back up to the top.
Three new Patience pictures are over at Khristine's--I'll add the large versions here as soon as they're up, which could possibly be tomorrow.
X-Props II: Amor Decertatio is now over at the Official Site. The grand prize is a prop from the show, in which you receive clues each week on what it is. Also, there are 4 weekly winners that receive some great XF goodies.

GA is on the current cover of Los Angeles Magazine. Although their site has yet to be updated, hopefully it won't be long. In the meantime, Haven has some scans of the four pictures to share.
Sunday, October 15
So many tests, so little time! I've got 2 coming up, but I couldn't stay away from the computer any longer, so here's a little update for Sunday!
For CC's birthday a few days ago, (10/13) the OS put up a new page for Ten Thirteen Productions which you can see here. It basically has some info on CC's other series, like the LGM Spinoff, or some of his older shows like Millennium. (Harsh Realm isn't linked to anything at the moment).

Monday, October 9
Fanfic update! I've added 6 new stories to the fanfic archive, Hiding's Picks. If you've got some time, come by and check them out. With the fanfic, I'll be aiming to update the archive on Mondays since I usually have a little extra time over the weekends to catch up and do some reading.
Also, I forgot to mention this over the weekend, but the new X-Files Episode Guide, Volume 6, for season 7, is available for pre-order at Amazon.com for a January 2001 release date. The book is written by Marc Shapiro and it's 288 pages.
For folks living in Canada, Spacecast is having a poll on which XF episode is the scariest. They will air the winning episode on Halloween. You can go here to vote.

A new Official Magazine has started being sent out to subscribers, so look for a copy coming soon to your area :o) This one to the left is not the newsstand cover, but the special edition cover. |
According to the LA Times, "Finally, "The X-Files" is ushering in its eighth season with a revamped and interactive site (http://www.thexfiles.com). Starting Nov. 1, users will get to preview a new role-playing game in which they can create their identities as FBI agents and begin investigations parallel to the ones on the show; follow a multimedia timeline of legendary conspiracies dating back to 1946 and participate in live chats with series creator Chris Carter (Nov. 6) and new cast member Robert Patrick (Nov. 13)."
Friday, October 6
More pictures! I'm doing some fall cleaning of my hard drive and I ran across How the Ghosts Stole Christmas which had been there for a while from when it aired a few weeks ago. A great episode--enjoy!
Some merchandise news today. *bang* "Dishes are done, man!" It's funny what sticks in your mind after 10 years, but if you haven't recognized it already, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead will be coming out on DVD on Dec 12, 2000. Thanks to DuchovnyNet for the heads up! DD plays "Bruce" in this movie, and you can pre-order a copy at Amazon.com. Also, McFarlane Toys has produced the figure, Flukeman, from The Host. It is now available for order, but only from the manufacturer--it won't be sold in stores. For more info, you can read the entire article and you can see a picture of it here.

On Saturday, December 9, William B. Davis and Nick Lea will be appearing for the Creation Convention held at the Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. You can find more info at the Creation Convention Website.
Also, the OS has a couple interesting tidbits this morning. FX is running themed weeks--this week of Oct 2 has been "Outbreak Week," showing episodes such as Pine Bluff Variant and Drive. Next week it will be "Total Fear Week" in which you can read the re-run listing here.
In both Los Angeles and New York branches of the Museum of Television and Radio, they are having a salute to terror and mystery on television which runs through Dec 10. Post-Modern Prometheus has been chosen to represent the XF.
Some Q&A appeared in the Palm Beach Post with Frank Spotnitz. Although, it's more or less the same answers we've heard this summer, he does a great job answering the questions. Don't forget he'll be at the Fall Televison Seminar on Oct 24.
That's all for today--it's back to the books for me, so have a good one! :o)
Tuesday, October 3
Thanks to Corrine's point in the right direction, Access Hollywood ran the new season 8 trailer this morning. You can view the pictures here, and also, the OS has the new trailer available in a video clip to watch.
New episode pictures! "Is this the Pepsi challenge?" You guessed it, Pine Bluff Variant has been added to the episode guide. :o) On a picture note, these are coming from my cable channel, FX, but I'll still be grabbing episodes as they broadcast on Fox as well. Surprisingly, I think the pictures are still coming in best when I capture them the old fashioned way, but, oh well, when episodes air, I can't resist *L*
September's award submissions are finally complete. Come check out the last 18 winners, and congratulations to the website creators for their creativity and hard work!
Monday, October 2
This site has a new addition to it this morning :o) As you may know, up until now DD4me2 has been running It's Raining Sleeping Bags which also included the fanfic archive called "Hiding's Picks." Due to an unfortunate accident, she has lost all of her files and to help ease the brunt of the blow, "Hiding's Picks" archive has now been moved over to this site and I will be maintaining it from here on out. So I'm still working out the bugs a little, but you can see the new section here or take the link called "Fanfic Archive" over to the left. We wish you a speedy recovery, DD4me2!
There will be a French online chat tonight with David tonight. The link for more info (in French, btw) is here.
Also, About.com reports that "Gillian Anderson, [along with] many other celebrities, has decorated a mask to be auctioned off to raise funds for Hospice of Michigan. Those who are interested in viewing and bidding on Gillian's or other celebrity masks can do so by visiting the Hospice of Michigan's website. The auction runs through the end of October. This is a great cause with [both] an X-Files connection and a Michigan connection. [Many] may already know that Gillian Anderson spent some of her formative years in Grand Rapids, Michigan."
Lastly, I'm down to about 5 award submissions left, so look for the rest of September's winners tomorrow! Enjoy your day--F. Emasculata and Pine Bluff Variant on FX tonight :o)
Saturday, September 30
Just when I start to think its going to be a slow news day, I take a trip over to the Official Site and get bombarded with goodies. On a quick re-run note, we have Milagro and S.R. 819 this weekend on Fox.
First up is the announcement of an upcoming appearance by Spotnitz: "Executive Producer Frank Spotnitz speaks on a panel at the Writers Guild Foundation's Fall Television Seminar on the dramatic series genre. Although the October 24th event in Los Angeles is already sold out, the Official Site will provide a full transcript online after the panel meets."
The release date for the set of Season 2 DVD's has been set back to Nov 28th, although the 7 CD set will include "brand new documentary on 'The Truth About Season Two,' interviews with Chris Carter about 12 different episodes, "Behind the Truth" spots from FX, deleted scenes, clips about special effects and behind-the-scenes footage." Also, Season 1 sets are due to be release overseas, beginning with the UK on Nov 6, 2000. (ahem...interesting date btw :o) ) To see the release schedule, you can go here.
Where are they today? Well, Doug Hutchison (Eugene Tooms) appears in the new movie Bait while Chris Owens is in Northern Stars Magazine which talks about the new movie he's working on, called My Louisiana Sky. "Chris Owens wants the X-Philes to know the truth. 'Just let The X-Files fans know I’m still alive. In my own way.'
And lastly, this site has received an award from The Truth Is In Here. Thank you very much!
Friday, September 29
Site updates for the weekend! I've been sick for this last week, but I'm finally feeling better...of course, FX coming to our local cable company certainly did aid my recovery. *L* So in lieu of FX's new arrival, I took some screen shots of Leonard Betts last night, which has been added to the episode guide.
Also, it's that time of year that we break out the award submissions, which wouldn't be possible without Corrine's wonderful assistance. From now on, we'll be responding to the award submissions at the end of each month, plus there is a new version of the award available to choose from. Naturally, past winners are welcome to email me if they would like the new award instead. For now, you can check out the 27 award winning sites--congratulations! These web designers have worked hard on their sites, so if you have a moment, be sure to swing by for a visit. :o) Part II of the submissions will be completed over the weekend.
Yahoo/Variety brings us some good re-run news: "The truth is still out there: stations in 135 markets have wrapped deals to air reruns of The X-Files under a two-year pact running through 2002-03...the 135 markets represent 80% of the country. This solidifies 'The X-Files' as one of the true winners in syndication,'' said Paul Franklin, executive vice president at Fox."
Friday, September 22
The Official Site has some new info up on 8X07: "Frank Spotnitz writes the script for "Via Negativa," his first lone work since 1997's "Detour" (5X04). The Latin phrase refers to the darkest path taken en route to enlightenment. Skinner, Kersh and the Lone Gunmen all appear in the episode set to air on 12/10. Tony Wharmby directs." Also, on the flash player on the front page, they have some photos from season 8.
Staying on an OS note, they also announced "Gillian Anderson and her film The House of Mirth have been nominated for the British Independent Film Awards, which will be handed out on October 25th." For more info on the movie, GAWS' HOM page is a great place to go.

It's good to be back! Time for me to play a little catch-up over this last weekend, and I promise email catch-up is next on my list as well :o) Anyway, I'm sure as most everyone knows now, Entertainment Weekly came out this week with a feature article about the show. To read some key points from the article, check out About.com. |
The Official Site has announced that "Hosted by Christopher Titus, the network special Fox Fall Preview gives viewers the first look at the FOX primetime fall schedule. Clips from new and returning shows (including The X-Files) will be shown. Check your local listings, because dates and times vary from city to city." Oh boy! I've checked around, but I can't find the day this will be on--if anyone knows, please email me, I'd appreciate it!
Sony Pictures has acquired international distribution rights to three DreamWorks films, one of the three being Ivan Reitman's ensemble sci-fi comedy "Evolution" in which DD is slated. The project is scheduled to start in the fall, and you can read the whole article here.
And, last but not least, slap my wrists for not mentioning this sooner. *L* DD4me2 has a brand new look over at It's Raining Sleeping Bags which is worth checking out, and also, a brand new collage site, At Times...I Almost Dream, has joined the XF community...beautiful, beautiful work. :o)
Thursday, September 14
William B. Davis will be in Glasgow, Scotland on October 29, 2000 to give a talk at the Glasgow Central Hotel. Ticket and price info for "An Audience with William B. Davis" can be found at The William B. Davis Homepage.
Going, going, gone! The final results to the Yahoo Celebrity Jeans Auction are in. Gillian's jeans sold for $2,335 (the 6th highest at the auction) and CC's jeans sold for $1,010. All funds went to the National MS Society's Southern California Chapter for those affected by MS, and if you would like more info, stop by their website here.
The Official Site and Season 8: There is some new info out about episode 8x06, Invocation, which is written by David Amann. "A child's abduction in Dexter, Michigan continues to haunt his family" and will start shooting on 9/20. The air dates have been changed around--Redrum being sent all the way back to Dec 17.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, "Floyd 'Red Crow' Westerman (from episodes such as Anasazi, The Blessing Way, or the more recent Amor Fati) stated that this "veteran actor, folk singer and Native American activist, has formed the Red Crow Creations production banner to develop American Indian-oriented film, TV and new-media projects."
Monday, September 11
A quick, early morning procrastination from studying--I've added some screen grabs from the skit DD did with Gary Shandling for the 2000 Emmys. You can see the pictures here. Also, you can find some great video clips over at DuchovnyNet. Enjoy! :o)
Friday, September 8
Site updates today! "There's something rotten in Mayberry." And there sure was--enough for Fox to ban this episode from their network before finally bringing it back--but Home has an amazing amount of shippy & quirky moments in it that make it a great one to watch. Anyway, "long story short," I've added Home pictures to the episode guide.
Three new puzzles have been added for September, plus I've updated the Puzzle Hall of Fame with all of the recent winners. So if you're looking to kill some time, give 'em a try! :o)
In the news, the Official Site has been busy these last fews days. They have added the Season 8 trailer, plus a little info about 8x05: "Scully's stuck in a Utah one-horse town with a cult and a slug. Confused? It's the set-up for the fifth episode, written by Vince Gilligan. Rod Hardy begins directing the still untitled script on 9/8."
Last night they ran the Creative Emmys on HBO in which they didn't show the FPS awards, but near the end they do show the Outstanding Makeup for a Series Award that the show won. If you missed it the first time, it reairs on HBO again on September 9, 2000, at 7:00pm ET/PT.
And there is now an Official Website for Robert Patrick which is a great site to learn more about RP.
Monday, September 4
Happy Labor Day! Well, as many of you may have seen yesterday, they ran a promo for season 8 during Closure last night. I missed it, but at least Corrine, on the west coast, was ready for it. Basically, there were clips of Scully, Skinner, the Bounty Hunter, Doggett, Frohike, and Kersh, and it looks like Scully still has her necklace after all. :P I'll be keeping my eyes open to catch it. Also, keep an eye out for the next TV Guide--there is a picture of Scully and Doggett which you can see over at Haven.
Bad news regarding the season 7 re-runs. It seems that "due to the Emmy broadcast on 9/10, three weeks of Olympics (on NBC) and the Baseball World Series. If the Series goes to a seventh game, the 10/29 airing of 'Requiem' will be bumped off the schedule."
Gillian Anderson and Chris Carter are participating to help raise funds for people and families affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) by donating their jeans to The Celebrity Jeans Auction hosted by Yahoo.
I've also added about half of my new story to Hiding's Fanfic, and the other half will be up sometime today!
Thursday, August 31
Some good news from Daily Variety this morning! Seems that "After down to the wire negotiations that saw Showtime plan, then cancel, marketing efforts for Terence Davies' Edith Wharton adaptation "The House of Mirth," the cabler has agreed, in principle, to sell pic's theatrical rights to Sony Pictures Classics." You can read the full article here.
8X05 info! It will begin shooting on Sept 8, and it is said that it will be written by Vince Gilligan and directed by Rod Hardy. Also, the OS posted the title for 8x04 which will be called "Patience."
![]() |
Coming out later this
year will be Cinescape's Special Edition Yearbook #3, which will
include a look back at season 7, behind the scenes info on the LGM
spinoff, and Spotnitz talking about the next feature film.
Diamond Comics gives us a preview of the cover, which is a picture
from Requiem, that you can see here. |
And *finally* my fanfic is done, which I never thought would ever
happen. *L* Anyway, I'm editing and breaking it into parts, so
it should be out soon!
Tuesday, August 29
The ATAS Creative Emmy Awards were held on Aug 26 in which The X-Files won three out of their six nominations! The winners include best special effects and best sound mixing for First Person Shooter and best makeup for Theef. To see the awards show, you can tune in to HBO on the following dates: September 7, 2000, at 10:15pm ET/PT September 9, 2000, at 7:00pm ET/PT.
The OS has two new videos out, one with Nick Lea talking about his favorite Mulder/Krycek fight and Brian Thompson discussing his "sawdust scuffle" with Mulder. Also, they have finally posted the entire Nick Lea chat transcript, which you can read here, and the site also reports that House of Mirth will be released in theaters overseas, premiering on 10/13 in the UK, but will be first aired on Showtime here in the states. Because of this decision, the film will not be eligible for the Academy Awards. :P
Friday, August 25
The weekend is here at last! Well, we certainly saw a lot of Nick Lea yesterday--Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye (KTG) aired at 8PM last night and he was on a Fox online chat afterwards. So I've made a page that has both some screen shots from the movie, plus most of the transcript of the chat. I was about 15 mins late into the chat, but I did catch the rest of it. I was also trying something new with the screen grabs--I switched the line to my digital cable feed which was just hooked up recently, but, suprisingly, I'm thinking my old method still might work better. Anyway, you can see both the pictures and the chat transcript here or click on the picture over to your right.
Also, Eonline posted a that "Minnie Driver was rushed to a London hospital August 21 after suffering severe abdominal pains during a film shoot. Driver was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and had her appendix taken out later that day. Her publicist says she is now recovering and doing well." And once again, Return to Me is set to be released on Oct 31.
Thursday, August 24

A couple quick reminders for tonight! Nick Lea's movie, Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye will be airing on Fox tonight at 8PM EST. According to the OS, "In the film, Nic plays a Hollywood executive whose perfect life is turned upside down when he wakes up from a drunken evening next to a dead woman. Jason Priestly directs and co-stars in the film inspired by the 1942 Twentieth Century Fox feature Moontide." After the movie at 10PM EST, Nick Lea will be at an online chat which you can sign up for here. |
According to the OS, episode 8x04 is about to start filming on Aug 28th and will be directed by Chris Carter. The episode description is: "Strange bites mark the next case for Scully and Doggett in Cockrill County, Ohio" and this will air tentatively on 11/26.
And on a project note, I'm working hard on both the new picture index page and my fanfic, Shadows in Silence. I only have 3 scenes left to do on the story, so I'm getting very excited seeing the end in sight. I'm working to get both up here soon! :o) Enjoy the end of the week!
Sunday, August 20
Well, vacation is almost over and school starts back this week :P It went by way too fast.
Anyway, catching up a little this past week, on the 18th, Hollywood Reporter released a statement that "The X-Files star David Duchovny is in preliminary discussions to star in director Ivan Reitman's sci-fi ensemble comedy Evolution for DreamWorks. The project is about the chaos that follows when a meteor lined with one-celled organisms crashes on Earth, speeding up the organisms' development. Duchovny and Reitman worked together years ago on Universal Pictures' Beethoven, which starred Duchovny and was executive produced by Reitman. Duchovny, who most recently starred in MGM's Return to Me, is repped by ICM and Melanie Greene Management."
The 38th Annual New York Film Festival is being held from Sep 22 to Oct 9th in which they will be screening GA's movie, The House of Mirth. Also, if you're looking for more multimedia and info on the movie, a great place to go is the HOM page at GAWS.
A new award has been added to the awards page--thank you very much At the Stroke of X! And don't forget Goldberg Variation and Triangle are on tonight. Have a good week!
Tuesday, August 15
The Official Site keeps expanding! Partnering with 1stUp.com, it now offers a free email address with xfiles.com at the end, plus free internet access. A short description about what it offers explains that you "get free, 56K dialup Internet service with more than 4500+ phone access numbers across the U.S. and Canada. Plus, you get free email, voicemail, and online filestorage built in." I've heard Fox still has some bugs to work out, but hopefully they'll get everything up and running soon.
And of course, don't forget Kalifornia is being released on DVD from Amazon.com today.
I have also been working on indexing the pictures in the episode guide. There's currently 56 episodes with pictures, totaling 3668 images, so many that it's difficult for me if I'm looking for one particular type of picture. So I'm working on an index that will make it faster and easier to find a specific picture.

Another week
begins...cable is coming on Wed! That means Song of the Week
and more pictures will be coming soon! It will be a shock--a
pleasant one, of course--going from a snail's pace to something 8
times faster. :o) First off, a quick reminder that Kalifornia
is being released on DVD from Amazon.com
tomorrow. You can pre-order it for $13.99 |
Haven has pointed us to a couple of new House of Mirth video clips which you can download at David Ogilvie's site.
A Spoiler
Note: It's that time of year when the show is back in production and
spoilers start leaking out on the net. You may have wondered why I
haven't posted any spoilers, but the same theory applies as last
year--just in case this is the last season, I want to be completely
shocked, stunned, and surprised--not knowing what's coming around the next
corner. I don't mind pictures and those type of spoilers, because
they're not all-revealing, but if you are a fan that does enjoy spoilers,
there are a lot of great sites out there including The
X-Files Underground or Haven,
and many spoiler mailing lists to choose from. So there may be mild
spoilers around here, but nothing that would really exploit an upcoming
episode, but like I said, check out these great sites above for the
lastest spoiler info, and enjoy season 8!
Friday, August 11
Not exactly another update, but 'ol Hiding can't see well in the wee morning hours, so thanks to a little prodding, I fixed the date, removed a word, now I'm going to bed. Enjoy the weekend!
New pictures! "Unless you accept the truth of God's teachings that there is a struggle between good and evil for all souls and that we are losing that struggle, you're but fools rushing in." That's right, it's one of my top ten favorites--All Souls. I just love the whole ep, scene for scene, line for line...well, you get the idea. :o) I also added Mind's Eye to the episode guide--lots of great M&S looks in this one. :o)
According to Eonline, among other news sites, it looks like Tea Leoni is "set to visit Jurassic Park III. Mrs. Duchovny joins the cast as a business associate and romantic interest to tycoon William H. Macy." Other actors mentioned to be in the film includes Sam Neil.
And in EOnline's Ask Marylyn, the question was asked if the House of Mirth would be released in U.S. theaters, which Marylyn replies, "Gillian and the rest of the Mirth team are keeping high hopes about a U.S. theatrical release for the film. According to her manager, negotiations are going on with a potential distributor, and if all goes well, the period piece in which she plays the tragic hero will open domestically in December. Regardless, it will be shown at the New York Film Festival onSeptember 24."
And according to the OS, episode 8x02 began shooting on August 4th and will tentively air on Nov. 12th.

Nick Lea's Fox TV movie, Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye, will be airing this month on August 24 at 8 p.m. EST.
And last but not least,
there is some new info about the LGM series. There is supposedly
going to be 13 episodes since it's starting in the spring, and CC said in
the recent Televison Critics Association appearance, "There's going to be a character you'll see in the second episode who is a very masculine presence in their midst, and a sort of--a kind of Sam Malone sort of character."

Monday, August 7 - Happy B-Day David!
New pictures! I've added The Red & the Black to the episode guide. Who can forget that shippy scene at the end where Scully takes Mulder's hand in the car--classic scene. :o) Anyway, enjoy the pics!
As you may know, David Duchovny turns 40 today, so we wish him a happy birthday. Also, the Official Site has made a page for the Lone Gunmen Spinoff which you can see here.
CC was on AH last night, and there some great video clips of the interview over at Proof Undeniable. Also, from Spoilertown this morning, someone was nice enough to send in a TV Week article from the Sunday paper with a CC interview. CC claims that Doggett is "...very much an insider...and that Mulder has always been an outsider" and that GA needs some weeks w/ light episodes. "She needs to be with her daughter a certain amount of the time." He also says her character will now be more of a "reluctant believer."
On a merchandise note, from DuchovnyNet, there is a new Young Adult XF Book called Miracle Man available for pre-order from Amazon.com. Also, don't forget the new Official 2001 calendars are now out as well.
Wednesday, August 2
Site updates today! I added Patient X pictures to the episode guide. And as usual, if Xoom gives you a hard time, just try hitting the refresh or reload button.

Tragedy on the Set: You may have heard the shocking, horrific news last night about the accident on The X-Files set, and this morning the OS has released this statement which I'll add below for the folks who can't access the OS:
"Six crew members were injured
and one, Jim Engh, was killed in an accident during pre-production of The
X-Files on location in Los Angeles (Monday). Five of the injured
have been treated and released, and one remains in critical condition at
UCLA Medical Center. We are conducting an intensive investigation into
the accident and families of the crew members have been notified. Our
heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies go out to Jim's family,
friends and colleagues, and we wish the injured crew members a full and
rapid recovery.' A scaffolding holding the workers 35 feet from the
ground came in contact with a 4,800 volt power line Monday in West Los
Angeles. The crew was doing pre-production work in anticipation of a
film shoot Tuesday in which cameras would be pointed through the windows
of the apartment building to shoot a chase scene down a flight of
stairs."
"Chris Carter made a statement: 'All of us are deeply saddened b y
the tragic loss of our friend and colleague Jim Engh. Our hearts go out
to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who have
known him and worked with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the
other crew members who were injured. We wish them a speedy
recovery.'"
There is a way to send your condolences and get-well wishes--you can write to askfox@foxinc.com and let them know that it's for "The X-Files."
It is always difficult when tragedy strikes, no matter when or where, bringing people together in times of sadness and grief. While many fans may not personally know these unfortunate crew members and their families, we see their hard work and dedication on our tv screens every week, our love of the show creating a connection to the entire X-Files 'family' whether we may realize it or not. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the crew and their families and friends today during these hard times.
Monday, July 31
9:00PM. I just got home and Corrine just told me some very disturbing and saddening news: As Eonline reports, "A member of The X-Files crew died Monday and six others were injured when scaffolding hit a power line during the shooting of a scene, according to Los Angeles broadcast reports." What a horrible tragedy--please keep these folks in your hearts and prayers--I sure will.

Anyway, a quick recap of the last few days includes that it's rumored another X-Files game is in the works, the Lone Gunmen spinoff has been set to premiere in March with 3-4 storys outlined, but no scripts yet.
On the Encore: The Ultimate Mark Snow site, "20th Century Fox has agreed to allow Mark Snow to release a soundtrack CD from Millennium." Also, did anyone else catch his music on a CBS show last night? It used a lot from All Souls, surprisingly.
GAWS has some great pictures & an MPG of GA on the History Channel Quiz, and some info & pictures on the House of Mirth.
And lastly, *cracks knuckles* I've set a deadline for my next fanfic--I have 3 wonderful weeks of freedom coming up, and my schedule for next semester is going to be a rough one, so I'm going to slave over that story and get it done by August 23rd! After a year and a half, it's going to be done...remind me not to do long ones anymore! :o)

Thursday, July 13
More new pics! I've added Kitsunegari and Schizogeny to the episode guide. And on a picture note, I promise all pictures are there, so if broken links or an error message comes up, hitting refresh normally does the trick :o)

New pictures! While Scully is talking about wicca, macumba, and the black arts, Mulder makes his infamous marriage proposal--yep, it's one of my top 10 favs--Chinga. And I've got Kill Switch in there too. I've noticed when I click on the links to Xoom sometimes it will give an error message, but don't let it give you a hard time--the pictures are definitely there--so pressing refresh should do the trick.
My wonderful awards helper, Corrine, sent in some sad news a few nights ago, so I know it's a little late in adding it, but it's still an important piece of news--just like the fake fire in "The End" the Vancouver set really did go up in flames. To read the whole article, click here.
I added a new award from Kate and her wonderful site, The X-Files: Search for the Truth. Thank you very much!

So last week we heard the casting call for the newest agent to try out an X-File or two, and EOnline reports that "Law & Order and Sex and the City star Chris Noth is being sought after as the new character to fill David Duchovny's airtime on the new season of The X-Files" |
Thursday, June 29
According to GAWS, GA's most recent movie, The House of Mirth, will be released in the UK on Oct 13, and will be reviewed by the NY Film Festival between Sep 22- Oct 9. And speaking of GA, for the lucky DC folks, Neurofibromatosis, Inc. has announced she will be making an appearance in Washington D.C. on July 12th for a fundraiser. Click on the link above for more info.
Also, there are new images and some video clips of Nick Lea's new movie, The Vertical Limit, over at NickLea.com. Thanks for the mail, Sue!
I changed the Sounds page format, so now I'm about halfway down the menu. Whoo!
Wednesday, June 28
Just a quick midnight update--I've been working on revamping the site a little more. I updated the QuizShows page, and since it's summer and it can be pretty slow to Nov, I've added a new warm-up quiz that is featured through Sheriff Hartwell's eyes. A new quiz has been long overdue for a while :o) I also worked on Lake Musings a bit, although I haven't added any new lakes at the moment, but spruced it up.
Tuesday, June 27
Anyway, to catch up a little. There is an auction over at the Nick Lea site that benefits the Red Cross. For more info go here. And speaking of Nick, Haven has directed us to a recent interview/article with him, which you can read here.
Some of you may have already heard about WBD's comment at a recent convention that he "understands" DD will be doing an episode or two right at the beginning of the season.
Saturday, June 24
Picture update! I added Christmas Carol and Drive to the Episode Guide.
For the West Coast fans, Frank Spotnitz will be part of a panel discussion for the Universe 2000 Expo held in Pasadena, CA. July 15-16. For details, including time and cost, read more here.
Speaking of Frank S., there is an interview with him at Zap2it.com where he talks a little about the season 8 and the show's future. There are mild, if any spoilers. Of course the last question grabbed my attention: "Any chance for a second 'X' movie? FS: 'I don't know if there will be another movie if things aren't successful this year. It all depends on what happens.'" That's a little unsettling for someone who always thought the next movie was practically a sure thing. :P
Friday, June 23
I picked up an extra class this
week, so it's been a bit hectic the last few days. The news had
been a little slow lately, but one interesting tidbit, via Haven,
has surfaced that a casting call for a new XF regular that is "Male, 30's to 40's, ex-police officer, blue
collar, masculine" Well, looks like CC's hint from the June 2
EW article: "Certainly Scully's character has evolved to this point now where she is a believer
ofsorts... I think that the partner would probably be a skeptic. And more likely
than not it will be a man." wasn't so far off the mark.
Also, the Official
Site has some X-Cops
interviews and what not on their front page since X-Cops is re-running
this Sunday.
Tuesday ~ June 20
One more update! I added the GA pics from her presentation at the
Blockbuster Awards. She did a wonderful job, made a few jokes, had
a great dress. Anyway, you can view the pictures right
here.

Speaking of GA,"The results are in for the poll that was done by FHM to determine who the [magazine's] readers felt were the '100 Sexiest Women in the World 2000.' Gillian Anderson made the list at #23." You can find more info in the July/August edition of FHM, or go to the FHM page that features GA. |
Sunday ~ June 18, 2000
Two new picture updates! I added The Unnatural to the season 6 episode guide and Musings of a CSM to the season 4 episode guide.
Wednesday ~ June 14, 2000
As you may
have noticed, I'm moving one by one down the menu on the left.
Yesterday I added 5 new puzzles to the puzzle
page, and I updated the Hall of Fame with all of
the hard workers who were able to solve the Ultimate
Puzzle Challenge. Congrats to the new hall of fame inductees!
In the
news, The X-Files, one of the only U.S. television shows to succeed in
Japan, will return to the land of the rising sun in December after a
two-year absence. If
you're interested in reading more info, head on over to About.com.
I was definitely shocked and thrilled yesterday
when I found the HOF
(House of Fanfic) had given my one little story an Award, so I've added
it to the My Fanfic page. Thanks to HOF
and the reviewer, Kris!
Tuesday ~ June 13, 2000
Corrine
sent this wonderful tidbit that comes from The
X-Files Underground. It seems that "there is more floating around about the cut kiss scene in
'Requiem.' And in addition to that, some lines were cut from the M&S
bed scene too." The existence of these scenes have been
talked about a few times, and this person relates what they heard on the
tape. Read
more here.
Also, Fox.com has put up a call to expand
their web design team for the Official XF Site, plus other new areas
such as The Lone Gunmen, Dark Angel, and Fearsum.
Well that's just totally depressing if you happen to not be in the LA
area. :P But if are a lucky soul that is, you can send an
attached resume to ejobs@newsdigital.com
with "X-Files Jobs" as the subject.
Emmy considerations have gone out--En
Ami, WBD, for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series, plus Closure
and The
Amazing Maleeni for Best Drama.
New awards have been added to the Awards Page! The Sizzling Summer Site of the Week award comes from Mulder + Scully = True Love, Excellence in XF from It's Raining Sleeping Bags, and XFLP award which also gave me a short interview that you can read at their site. Thanks Heather, DD4me2, and XFLP!
