 An original story which I suppose, if nothing else, demonstrates the truth of the old saying - first heard in an episode of Blake's Seven, as I remember - that no good deed goes unpunished.  For anyone into original fiction, this one is about corruption in local government, ruthless deeds, and vicious paybacks.  Also, obsession, greed, fear a good dollop of angst.

Most of this was written while I was at Grammar
school, and then on into my late twenties.
One or two were written later.
