Ok you all know the drill. I do not own anyone that is owned. This is just for fun. If you do not like to bad. The idea came from Princess Destiny.

Crystal's and Tears

By: Lady Aradia

Jennifer sighed. Her daughter was perfect. She was playing with her daughter when the window opened and a beautiful owl flew in. Jennifer cried out and reached for her daughter.

" You know it is no use Jennifer. I have just came to see the newest of Lissite's spawn. After all she will be mine, just like the other's were."

Jennifer felt as though the icy hand of fate had touched her. " You asshole. She will have nothing to do with you. She is not like me nor the other's. She will solve your stupid labyrinth. She will also break your heart. I suggest that you leave me and mine alone from now on. She is only going to break…"

" You foolish mortal! Shut up, before I take her and make her into a goblin. Yes I knew that would get to you. You still remember your brother Joey don't you? Yes, I can see from the look on your face that you do. Now let me see the little brat before I send Hoggle to the BOG for a return visit."

Jennifer was forced to move back. Hoggle was the family friend. "She is going to be beautiful. I admit it. However, beside that she will be like all of you naïve girl's. Farewell for now Daughter of Lissite. I will come for my prey when she is old enough." And with that Jarith turned into an owl and flew off leaving Jennifer to wonder at what she had done.

"My poor daughter, it is too late for me but I promise you, Sarah, you will defeat him." Jennifer was too busy pondering the past to see her daughter's eyes glow red.

Chapter 3

Sarah sighed. It was a long day for the precious 10-yr old girl. It would have been a long day for any child. She had just found out that her parent's were going to divorce each other. What was worse was that her mother was going to New York. Sarah would not be able to live with her mother. Instead, she would have to live with her father. She did not want to, she had stated this fact many times. She sighed again and went to her mom.

Jennifer had something for her daughter. Sarah did not have the slightest idea what it was. She went to her mother's room feeling as if she had been watched. Sarah shivered. She hated that feeling! She had once told her mother that and Jennifer got this odd look on her face. When Sarah finally got upstairs, she heard her mother packing her clothes and on the telephone with that damn agent. " Mommy, you wanted to see me?"

"Yes kitten I did. Can you please go to where I hide my stuff from daddy? Thanks Anna but I really should go. I have to talk to Sarah. I know I will see you tomorrow. Bye." With that, Jennifer put the phone down. "Kitten will you please hand me that book? Which one mommy? The one that has a red cover. I need you to be a grown up. I have to tell you something about your family. This book has been in our family since the seventeen hundreds. That is two hundred years ago! During that, time an ancestor of ours did a bad thing. She wished that the goblins would come and take her baby brother away. To her surprise, it came true! You are too young to understand all of it and in time, I will tell you all of it, but I need you to promise me something."

"What mommy? That you will never say the words. Or else a mean, evil man will come and take you away. But mommy, how can I wish for that mean man to take away my brother when I do not have one? Jarith will find a way, I am sure. Now why don't you go get ready for bed. I will start reading the first chapter in this book to you. ."

"Night mommy."

"Good night, darling. I will be in there in a second." Jennifer had to get her daughter out of the room. She was being watched, there was only one man who did that to her and she had to get Sarah out of the room before he came. Henry, Sarah's dad came to say good night to his daughter.

"Hello, darling Jennifer. I have come to see how much longer I have to wait before I…"

"It is not the same Jarith, I told you. This time you can not win. There is no younger child."

"Not yet anyway. However, the future is always in motion my dear. Perhaps this time I will have an equal. I thought for a while that you were she but I guess not. Just another weak girl. You know I still remember that night when you…"

"Shut up Jarith. Don't you dare touch her." Jennifer could have gone on and on, except that Jarith got this deadly look on his face and stalked off. After he left, Jennifer fell on her bed crying. She had come from a family cursed with this demon that because of a mistake of her ancestor they all had to go though that damn Labyrinth. The Labyrinth was not the bad part. So Hoggle got a little grumpy once in awhile and the goblin guards tried to kill her. Big deal, she had faced more than those wimps. What was the bad part was Jarith. The demon that stalked every female in her family line. Jarith's damn need for an heir had made her life a living hell! She fell asleep dreaming of her past and quite possibly Sarah's future.

Chapter 4

Jennifer smiled; it was going to be a beautiful day. Than she thought about her annoying little brat of a brother, Joey. She could have had her boyfriend, Henry Willams over; she could go to the mall with Laura and Angel. But no, she was stuck brat-siting. It was so un-fair!

Her annoying little brother got whatever he wanted! She thought about this for a second. Here she was a 17-year-old girl, a senior with a promising career as an actress and she was stuck with little goblin boy! Where was the justice in that? The girl's dark brown eyes closed trying to get her patience while she was brushing her dark brown hair out. They snapped open. Two things were missing from her room. One a stuffed bear that her boyfriend Henry had won for her that she had named Lancelot and the other was an old book called the Labyrinth. Jennifer tried to not feel fear but when she heard the thunder, she knew he was in her house. Her dark eyes turned to black and she sat up straight.

He was in her house.

Jarith.

Just the name alone brought a sense of loathing and fear. She remembered what little her mother had told her before she was given the Journal, Lisste's journal. This man, this demon, stalked every female in the family since the 1700's. This was all going though her mind in a second. The beautiful girl stood up from where she was brushing her hair. Just as she was standing up the lights went off. Oh great, I am about to meet a heartless demon and the light's go off. What else can happen?

"A heartless demon? I am truly hurt by your harsh word's Jennifer. And here I thought that you were different than the other's. My fault I suppose."

"So you are the one they call Jarith? Hmm, I was wondering when you were going to come. Now I get my shot at you. Turn on the light's Jarith. I want to see what a demon look's like." With that, all the lights went on.

Jennifer gasped in surprise. She thought he would be ugly like those misguided creatures that he ruled. This was not an ugly man. That was for damn sure. He had blond hair that looked like a wig, mismatched eyes and he was well, handsome. The man was watching her expression on her face. An amused, smug smirk formed on his lips.

"Well do my looks please the lady? I would not go though that labyrinth if I were you. Why, when I could give you your dreams?"

"Afraid Jarith? Afraid that a mere girl may beat you? To hell with my dreams I want Joey."

"Very well, since you politely refused your dreams you have 13 hours. And my dear, I will not make the same mistake twice. Do you hear me? Such a pity." With that, he faded out into nothing. Jennifer was alone to contemplate the sprawling labyrinth in front of her.

Why did it feel like she had just made the biggest mistake of her life?
