   Part 2

  As she looked into the face of the one she loved, Buffy was shocked. Angel was
standing here, right here in front of her. She was looking into the same
soalfull
eyes she had fallen in love with. Angel was here, her Angel, the one she had
thought she lost forever.
  "H..Hi." she managed to spit out.
  "Hello," Angel answered,"Where are you from?"
  "W...what, oh...I`m from LA..err..the next town." Buffy answered lamely.
  "Oh, what`s your name?" Angel asked politley, whether he was really interested
or not Buffy didn`t know.
  "Buffy." Buffy answered, while her eyes where searching his for any sign of
recognition.
  "Oh...interesting name, my name is Angel."
  Buffy was still in shock. She needed time for this to soak in. She needed to
be alone. Buffy guickly excused herself and ran up to her room.

  There was a ray of moonlight coming through the window as Buffy was laying on
her bed. She was thinking about Angel. Her Angel compared to the one downstairs.
They were the same, and yet they were different. The pre-vamp Angel`s eyes were
full of joy. When he smiled he smiled. Not a sad smile or a half a smirk. His
eyes weren`t full of torment and self loathing.
  She needed air. Fresh air.
                      ~~~~~~~
  The streets of the 16th century town were dark and, if she wasn`t the slayer,
quite scary. As Buffy walked, she heard the familar sound of some one following
her. Confident in the fact that she was the slayer, she turned around ready to
kick butt. Nobody was there. Telling herself that she was loosing it, she
continued walking.
  When she reached the house, Angel was sitting on the porch.
  "There you are, mother was a nervous wreck wondering where you where."
  "Sorry," Buffy answered,"I needed some air."
  They just stood there staring at eachother in the darkness. Suddenly, the
silence was broken by a vampire jumping down from the nearest tree. Acting on
pure instinct, Buffy pulled out a stake and turned around. A few minutes later,
Buffy was sitting on top of the vampire, ready to stake her, when she saw the
vampires face for the first time. It was Darla.
  She had to think. If she killed Darla, Darla wouldn`t be able to turn Angle
into a vampire. Buffy knew this would be good for Angle. It would mean he
wouldn`t have to suffer through so much. But it would also mean that her and
Angel would never meet.
