| Profile: Grimwing is evil. There is no other way to describe it. So convinced is he of his superiority, no creature, organic or cybernetic, Autobot or Decepticon, are exempt from his murderous tendencies. Created by Backstab as a gestalt of the "Brothers Grim," Dire and Dread, Grimwing combines the worst traits of his component selves into a single nihilistic being whose sole purpose is death. Backstab intended him to replace the traitorous Hellrazor, building into Grimwing the added weakness of possessing a dual consciousness that would dissuade him from betraying the Decepticons. As a result, Grimwing has a burning hatred in his CPU not only for Hellrazor, but for Dread and Dire as well, feeling the three of them together are all that stand in the way of his true destiny of lord of the skies. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Abilities: As a fighter, Grimwing is almost without peer in either form. In robot mode, he carries Dread's lazer rifle coupled into Dire's plasma cutter; the new weapon is capable of hurling bolts of white-hot destructive energy with the explosive capacity of 100 tons of TNT. In addition, he possesses Dire's polymer-alloy enhanced hydraulic rams in his forearms in robot mode and his nosecone in jet mode and is thus able to punch through almost anything. His physical endurance is near-limitless, due to his possessing of both Dread's and Dire's internal powerplants. In jet fighter form, he is capable of airspeeds of up to Mach 5 and can achieve trans-atmospheric flight, as well as possessing VTOL abilities. In this form, he has access to his cannon as well as Dread's "fear broadcasters" linked up to his thrusters; effectively, the very sound of his approach can paralyse all but the most courageous with terror. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Weaknesses: The mental schism created by Grimwing's intense hatred of his component halves can sometimes cause him to be briefly mind-locked during particularly strenuous mental activities. Other than this, Grimwing has no known weaknesses. |
