| Profile: Perhaps the oddest Decepticon in the ranks, Sabertooth does not see himself as a warrior, but rather as an artist who specializes in what he refers to as "percussive deconstruction." There is nothing that gives him as much joy as the sight of a building collapsing or an enemy fortification exploding, to the point of packing excess explosive material into it in order to get an even larger explosion. A curious side effect of his attitude toward his job, however, is that since he sees it as an artistic effort, he will often sit and compose sonnets about each detonation, refusing to speak in anything but rhyming couplets and often regaling his fellow Decepticons with his latest compositions. Despite numerous reprimands regarding using comm channels for such disruptive purposes, he nevertheless has a sympathetic ear, as it were, in Communication Specialist Clash; not because she enjoys his dreadful efforts at poetry, but more because it appeals to her sadistic nature to inflict it upon their peers. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Abilities: In tiger mode, Sabertooth carries two hip-mounted wire-guided grenade launchers, each with a high-density warhead capable of releasing the explosive force of about 100 tons of TNT. In addition, his oversized upper incisors and enhanced jaw servos can rend through 3-inch carbon steel plate in under 0.5 seconds. In cassette mode, Sabertooth can play back the recordings of his explosive works and, using the drum-like constructs in his body as an echo chamber, create a powerful wave of sound able to overload audio sensors and warp steel. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Weaknesses: Sabertooth often underestimates the amount of explosive charge he uses and has been known to blown himself up along with his targets. Also, he sometimes overtaxes his jaw servos which can lead to breakdowns at the most inopportune moments, leaving him clamped onto his foes unable to release himself. |
