Sawbones

Function: Autobot Medic
Quote: "The only secure job in any war is the medic's."
Profile: Gruff, ill-mannered, and cranky are the best way to describe Sawbones' bedside manner. Fortunately, he offsets this seeming character flaw by being a virtual miracle worker in regards to maintaining, repairing, and sometimes even wholly rebuilding his fellow Autobots. Ironcar himself remains at awe of the bad-tempered doctor's skill at reviving comrades believed to be beyond all hope of repair. Blunt to the point of rudeness, his no-nonsense attitude and perpetual bad humor mask the fact that he is truly concerned with the well-being of his kind and their human allies. In fact, some say his recharge cycles are haunted by memories of those he was unable to save. Sawbones will patently deny it and will usually smack the offending Autobot upside their head for suggesting it. Nevertheless, if he had his way, the war would claim no further lives...a noble, if unrealistic dream. 
Abilities: As a medic, Sawbones is nearly unrivalled, combining the logical thought and storage capacity of a mainframe computer with the compassion and determination of a trained doctor. Sawbones also holds the distinction of being the only Autobot to hold a legitimate medical degree in human medicine. He has access to a wide array of laser scalpels, scanners, welders, and the like to aid in his work. In addition, he is a rolling apothecary, able to manufacture and store a wide variety of chemicals and compounds to be either dispensed normally or, in some cases, expelled through the high-pressure nozzles located in his forearms at pressures of up to 200 pounds per square inch. In ambulance mode he has a top speed of 150 MPH and a range of 200 miles and can carry or tow up to 50 tons.    

Weaknesses: Sawbones is a devout pacifist and will not enter combat except in the most dire of circumstances. As a result, he has little by way of armor and only his chemicals as weapons, making him a liability in out-and-out battle. Considering his value behind the lines, however, it's highly unlikely that he would ever see the front lines. In addition, his devotion to his patients often overrides his own maintenence, resulting in occasional breakdowns, both physical and mental, usually in his chemical dispenser hoses.
