Tatooine is known to most as the home of Luke Skywalker. It is a planet ignored by most of the universe with the exception of smugglers, gamblers, and other criminals. Tatooine has some very unusual inhabitants. Jawas are short jittery creatures that usually make their living selling (often stolen) machinery.
One group to watch out for are the Tusken Raiders or Sandpeople. The raiders are a nomadic culture that ride large animals called banthas. The Sandpeople wear breath masks that cover every inch of their head. Few have seen what they look like under the masks. Caution must be taken when Sandpeople are near, because they have been known to raid and steal from passersby, leaving them for dead.
The Tusken Raiders greatest fear is the Krayt Dragon, a huge reptilian creature that lives on Tatooine. Unfortunately for the Sandpeople, they are the major diet of the Krayt Dragon, and they often have to fight or run from the Dragons. Young Sandpeople will try to show their courage by daring to take on a Krayt Dragon.
