Well Rei's/Raye's grandfather isn't what you'd call a Key charecter he only really has one episode to himself and we still learn nothing about his pat. All we know is that he's a perverted silly old dude whose always trying to sneek a peek at Rei's/Raye's female friends. He even ran a womens wreastling scam so he could Play with pretty girls. He's disgusting but harmless.

Yuchiro/Chad was a begger (actually the son of rich parent go figure) He was sleeping on the steps of Rei's temple when he was stumbled over, literally. Heh he was smitten in an instant and voulenteered to work at the shrine. Since then he's been a dedicated and useful member.. who am i kidding he clean ups dag it that's his job cleaning up and working for Grandpa's letcherous intentions. He does get jealouse though when he see's Rei with Haruka (who he mistakes for a boy) and challenges her to a fight which heloooses and runs away from the temple. I must say his seiyuu(voice actor) has a beautiful singing voice in this episode but of course it degrades into ranting. All in all Yuuchiro/Chad is a pretty keen if only a little misguided guy.
