Short Background

Next to Setsuna and Haruka Makoto is the tallest of the scouts (tallest of the inner scouts if you wanna get technical. She is also pretty darn strong to boot, she's taken down guys and mosnters 3 times the size of her many times over. We first meet Makoto when Usagi is once again late for school, Usagi crashes into some street hood who then proceed to harasse her, who knows what could have happend if a tall mysterious (and quiet frankly extremly lovely) girl hadn't Stepped in and broke out wit a can o' whoopass. Usagi say's her thank you and complements makoto's earrings. Later at school she see's Makoto eating by herself, and Umino (melvin) procedes to tell her all the rumors he's heard about the girl (none of which are true, she wasn't kicked out for fighting it was a romantic thing.) Usagi decided that Makoto needs some company and a few more thanks for saving her touche. Makoto is more than glad for the company and offers usagi some of her lunch, and as we all know Usagi is not one to turn down free goods.

Well to make another long story short, after a battle with some weird old monster (makoto picks him up with her two hands untransformed to boot!)we find that Makoto is Sailor Jupiter. I believe one of the reasons she's so tall is because 1 Jupiter is a huge planet, and 2 Jupiter was king of the gods, so she has to be imposing. Makoto's best knwon phraze in any language is "He looks like my old Boyfriend." Either all guys in japan look alike or Mako has done some serious boy hopping. Unlike Rei we do know that Makoto's parents were killed in a plane crash, and that she lives alone in an apartment. She loves to cook, and for all her height seems to be one of the most feminine of the Scouts. She does have that unfortunate infatuation with haruka but she puts it off as atteacted to haruka's coolness. No one can really say whats up with Makoto, but she is one of the most powerful senshi, and is always one of the first to sacrafice herself to sdave usagi, usualy against horrible grisly death. I have two diffrent translations to what her name means,but, the first is Makoto of Lighting/Thunder. or Wisdom of Tree's o.o** she would have the hardest name to figure out wouldn't she?
