Haruka Tenou, such a fine, upstanding, and good looking young man . . . WRONG! Haruka is a GIRL! At first glance you see this really really cute guy, with a great personality, but get to know Haruka and you'll soon see she's a he. Sailor Scout of the planet Uranus, her job and also the job of the other Outer Scouts is not only to guard the moon family, but to guard earth.

Haruka Can be either a Guy or a Girls name in Japan, this also cause's some problems as the Inner Scouts continually hit on Haruka cause they think she is the "Ideal Man". Haruka herself enjoys leading them on in the beginning, cause to her it's hilarious to have these young kids comin after her, making Michiru (Sailor Neptune) none to pleased and seemingly almost jealous . . .

And in doing so they step on a lot of toes' if you catch my meaning. Serena and the other scouts are convinced that they are up to something (Sailor Moon S). But they later find out that they were only Searching for the magical talismans (see Sailor Moon S section for more details). Haruka herself though is a fun lovin all around nice and funny gal. She plays the piano, races her sports car (note she does not have a license) and is a pretty good student (not to mention she's semi LOADED! $$)

But as Sailor Uranus she is dedicated fully to her mission and doesn't care who she offends, (and sometimes hurts) willing to sacrifice her life, as well as the life of her partner Sailor Neptune (I will explain this in a bit).

So lastly I have to tell you guys now so you're not shocked later Haruka, is GAY! She and Sailor Neptune/Michiru are together. But they have a nice relationship, holding hands is the most I've ever seen them do, unlike the rest of the Scouts, who represent Love in it's unbridled youth Haruka and Michiru are the old Married couple of the show. Hey to each they're own, no matter how you see em though Haruka and Michiru are still too COOL.
