Queen Beryl unleashed the awesome power of the Negaforce. Although her world was destroyed, Queen Serenity’s last hope was the power of the imperium silver crystal and the crescent moon wand. Trapped in moon beam crystals, the queen sent the princess, Princess Serena/Serinity, and the children of the moon to the future on earth. Their memories lost to them all, the queen’s cat advisors Luna and Artemis must find the princess so she will at last be safe. And so our story begins... It all begins one fine day when Serena/Usagi is
walking to school. She encounters four boys messing with a cat. Serena/Usagi
rescues the kitty, and then merrily trots off to school. The cat follows
her around all day (noticing her immaturaty). Later as Serena/Usagi sits
in her room the cat comes in and Oddly enough the cat can speak and tells
Serena/Usagi that she is Sailor Moon Champion of Justice! Serena/Usagi
promptly makes a fool of herself. Aside from all the sight gag's, and juvenile humor the first season simply titled Sailor Moon was also one of the most dramatic at times becoming very dark indeed. Romance drama *sigh* everyone loves the first season of Sailor Moon, you meet each of the Senshi individually instead of in pairs or because of some Uber dark evil attacking Sailor Moon herself. Actually Most of the Senshi with the exception of Venus arrive to fight relatively weak Advisories, weak meaning they don't have to be destroyed using one of Sailor Moons special attacks. It even has everyone's favorite badguys ..... The Four Generals: Jedite, oh he was such a bad mama Jamma, nothing distracting this fellow except Getting energy and taking out the Senshi, unfortunately for Jedite He just didn't have good Organizational Skills he just left the monsters in charge instead of seeing it through to the end. He picked human targets from random idea's instead of focusing on a particular group really we didn't know what Jedite was gonna do next! Sadly Queen beryl got sick of his botched plans (Foiled by Newly awakened Sailor Senshi no less!). And Encased him in crystal for the rest of Eternity. Nephrite, who boy now here was a dude who was a good looker, had brains, and best of all he had a plan. Nephrite used the Stars to pinpoint which human being had the most potential energy at one time. He was so manipulatively cool but alas those now Not so Bungling Sailor Senshi thwarted his plans every week. Nephrite eventually get sick of them and formulated a plan to capture them by pretending to be Tuxedo mask, but the only person he managed to catch was Naru (Molly). After this little escapade we have the Molly Nephrite romance, oh da-rool da-rool. But like so many of those ill fated Yoma human relationships on Sailor Moon it was not to be and nephrite after finally becoming one of the good guys gets killed by his fellow general......
So Enough about them the first series is defiantly one of the most memorable I'm not gonna give away the ending which even in English managed to be good and teary. But if you really want to cry like somebody ran down your puppy and then the vets at animal planet saved him for free then hunt search, quest for the original Japanese Subtitled episodes and watch them. The series as a whole rocks hard-core and even though it looses some of the fun in English you do get pretty musical pieces in both.
