The Fatman A
high-powered Syndicate member that oversees and controls
the movements of the Cigarette-Smoking Man and other
projects. The Fatman, or First Elder, commands instant
respect and immediate attention from the other members of
the secret group. The Fatman met his doom at the hands of
the "faceless" alien rebels. |
The Syndicate Following first
contact with the alien colonists in the late 1940s, this
group conspired to prepare mankind for alien servitude.
The Syndicate collaborated with the alien host to abduct
innocent civilians in order to obtain genetic information
necessary to engineer an alien-human hybrid capable of
serving as a slave race. Unbeknownst to the colonists,
the Syndicate attempted to buy time to create a vaccine
against the alien black oil, known as "purity".
Unfortunately, with the discovery that Cassandra Spender
was the first true alien-human hybrid, the Syndicate ran
out of time and was forced to meet with the colonists to
turn over their genetic discovery and prepare for the
alien arrival. The alien rebels, however, were able to
infiltrate and manipulate the Synidcate into an ambush
where most of the members and their family's were
exterminated. |

Alfred Fellig After months of
dronish background check duty, Assistant Director Kersh
assigns Scully to assist Agent Ritter in investigating a
series of death scene photographs that seem to have
occured seconds after the death of the victims. Scully
and Ritter soon suspect that Alfred Fellig, a
professional photographer, has been at the scene of many
questionable deaths, as they happened. Scully
investigates on her own and learns from Fellig that he
has the ability to "see" death as a physical
manifestation. Researching FBI records, Mulder discovers
that Fellig is over 149 years old and connected to the
death of a nurse. Fellig later explains to Scully that he
encountered death long ago but "turned away",
thereby cheating death and forcing him to claim his nurse
in his place. Fellig seeks photographic proof of Death's
face to end his eternal suffering. Recognizing that death
was coming for Agent Scully, Fellig finds the courage to
face death and takes her place. |
