The question most often asked about Robert Patrick is... Who?
It seems the illustrious career of one of this era's most gifted actors has for the most part gone unnoticed! Hopefully this terrible injustice will someday be remedied.
Mr. Patrick was born in Marietta Georgia, a small city of just under 45 thousand. But Patrick had big dreams, and left Georgia for Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Here Patrick found his true calling, and decided to become an actor.
In 1984 Mr. Patrick moved to Los Angeles and good fortune followed. Patrick was soon discovered by a casting director for Roger Corman's production company and landed the part of the psychotic biker in Corman's new movie Warlord's of Hell. Patrick's proven ability landed him roles in seven more of Corman's independent films.
Patrick's career hit the big time when he was given the role of the terrorist, O'Reilly, in Bruce Willis's, Die Hard 2. He hit the high point of his career the following year playing the staring role of the T-1000 in Arnold Schwarzenegger's blockbuster Terminator 2: Judgment day.
Since that breakthrough, Patrick has built on his success with starring roles in some major motion pictures such as Fire in the Sky, Double Dragon, Striptease, and The Faculty."
Patrick also starred in the critically acclaimed Copland, working alongside such acting talents as Sylvester Stallone, James Caan, Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel and Ray Liotta.
Patrick biggest role to date may be away from the silver screen, however . He recently signed a deal to replace David Duchovny on Fox's hit TV show, The X-Files. This high profile role is sure to bring Patrick the recognition that has so long deserved.
The book is not closed on the outstanding career of Robert Patrick. This star will certainly continue to shine.
