Cousin Kevin Bio:

Kevin Cadogan recently formed Cousin Kevin (was Bully, then Cadogan, now Cousin Kevin), a rock trio. bully features Kevin Cadogan on lead vocals and guitar, Cool Doe on drums and Messiah on bass. In May Kevin Cadogan and the producer of bully4you will be heading to Dublin Ireland to begin mixing. bully4you is scheduled for release in August 2000 (rumored to released on Kevin's birthday also). bully4you will be released on Kevin Cadogan's own independent label, Tossed Out Records.

Cool Doe:

Cooldoe grew up in Richmond, California. After he was born on May 10, 1975, his mother took him to his new home on Downer Street. He started looking up girls skirts in the 4th grade and playing drums in the 8th. In high school, Cooldoe discovered cleavage, and continued to play drums in local rock bands. Through the years, he's played with several bands, including Impact, Unjust, Hard, Sixth Sense, Flange, Red Session, and World Record. The music he contributed to ranged from Funky Psychedelic to Rock and Roll, from Metal to Reggae and Ska. He's traveled around the globe in search of the knowledge of rhythm, studying with some of the best such as Kuang Sing Chang in the Repubic of China, Ojimbe Basutoo of Africa, and Gian Jmebgan in India Cooldoe has also worked as a drum tech for several years for bands such as Testament, Fungo Mungo, Nirvana, M.I.R.V. and Third Eye Blind. Working as a tech for Third Eye Blind Cooldoe grew tired of setting up Brad's drum set and checking for his pulse before shows. "I wanted to remind Kevin what it was like to play with a real rock drummer.'

Messiah:

Messiah has known and played music with Kevin since the seventh grade. We won't tell when that was, but he is now 19 years old in Stephan J. years. He however, has been known as Messiah only since he was 19, when some executive television producers from Mexico discovered him in excitement as he was hanging out in a Berkeley pub. They asked him if he was willing to come to Mexico and portray Jesus on the National television channel. The TV execs said their current Messiah was being difficult with his contract negotiations. He did not think that portraying Jesus would be a suitable job for him and he did not want to leave Berkeley to live in Mexico City, so he decided to stick around his hometown and to his career in music. The name Messiah stuck to him however.

After dazzling San Francisco State University with his musical genius, and receiving a degree in composition, Messiah started working with many local rock groups writing and performing on bass, guitar, cello, and keyboards. Contrary to statements made by Third Eye Blind and their management, Messiah was the only side musician to ever tour with Third Eye Blind. He toured for 3 months playing cello, keyboard, and auto harp and also made appearances on The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live with Third Eye Blind.

Kevin Cadogan:

Kevin Rene Cadogan was born August 14, 1970 in Oakland California. Because of his close kin in Ireland, he maintains dual citizenship between America and Ireland. When he was very young, his parents moved his family, Kevin being the youngest, from the states. Kevin's father taught on sabbatical for two years in England .

When Kevin's family came back to the states, they settled in Berkeley, California. It was there that Kevin remembers most of his upbringing, and there that he found a creatively nurturing environment to develop his talent in. Kevin Cadogan began learning and experimenting with the guitar at age 12. Through practice, Kevin's talent for writing songs and distinctive guitar parts developed quickly.

He was influenced so by the camaraderie between the members of his older sister's boyfriend's band and he determined that he wanted to be a part of something like that. Kevin was first part of a band at age 13. He remembers the hassles his age created if his band was playing a bar. One particular night at a gig Kevin was restricted inside of a square the bar owner taped to the stage. One of his first shows was in Ireland, playing from the back of a fish truck as the band's sound was amplified through a giant mega phone.

Kevin attended Berkeley public schools through to his graduation in 1988. From there Kevin attended San Francisco State University and began working on obtaining his BCA degree, which he graduated with in 1993. For Years Kevin Cadogan played and formed many bands in the Bay Area.

In 1993 after performing a show in a SF bar, Kevin was introduced trough a mutual acquaintance to Stephan Jenkins. Jenkins asked Kevin if he was interested in jamming with Stephan some time. Soon this invitation formed into the songwriting collaboration Kevin Cadogan and Stephan. From their co-writing efforts a set list was created, and they started performing shows in the Bay Area.

Third Eye Blind struggled to perform in bars and clubs in the Bay Area for 3 years until Kevin Cadogan and Stephan were signed to Elektra Records as Third Eye Blind. Third Eye Blind released their self titled debut in 1997 and toured off it for over 2 years. Kevin co-wrote 10 of the 14 songs on the debut, from which such top 10 hits such as "Graduate" and "HowŐs it Going to Be" were yielded and close to 5 million in record sales was achieved.

For his songwriting success Kevin was honored by the BAMMIES when he received the songwriter of the year award in 1998. Kevin has also been recognized by the BAMMIES 3 years in a row as a nominee for best guitarist. Kevin Cadogan also contributed his songwriting talents to Third Eye BlindŐs current album, "Blue". Kevin co-wrote 6 of the 13 songs on "Blue" which he won the best songwriter award for in the Califonia Music Awards 2000.

Throughout the writing, recording and producing of "Blue" the differences in the capabilities of Third Eye Blinds principal collaborators became apparent. As a result, "Blue" is as close to being schizophrenic as a cd can be, and Stephen Jenkins, Arion Salazar, and Brad Hargreaves gave no reason, and wrongfully attempted to "fire" Kevin Cadogan from Third Eye Blind on January 25, 2000. Kevin Cadogan was forced out of Third Eye Blind, which he committed and contributed so much to establishing.

Much controversy has arisen from the ousting, and the business of Third Eye Blind is being closely analyzed as the final outcome of the action is still being settled between lawyer representatives for Kevin Cadogan and Third Eye Blind. Kevin Cadogan remains a prominent musician in the industry. Since the ousting, Kevin has written an album of music, formed his new band, bully, and has a scheduled release date for bully's debut album of August 14, 2000. Kevin has also started his own record label, Tossed Out Records. Tossed out Records will be releasing bully's debut album, bully 4 you.
