McCarter family dealings continue to generate excitement. CSO Mercedes
McCarter refuses to sign a waiver to allow her sister Jolie to stay
aboard on grounds that her sister is making a fool of herself over the
captain. Jolie is quite upset and accuses Mercedes of being motivated by
jealousy, which Mercedes says is ridiculous and that she has more
important things to attend to. The SF Mafioso meeting was called to
honor Michael Pachuco, reported dead, by means of the appropriate Mafia
ritual. Mercedes, still upset, impatiently casts off ritual and declares
that there will be a party in his honor a week hence.

Checking up on preparations for the party she planned for Yossarian with
aCSO Chandler T'krn- McCarter is next on Mercedes agenda. Only last
minute stuff, like the banner saying happy birthday to her twin, isn't
up yet so she leaves satisfied. When she returns with her brother, they
are both satisfied to find banners for each of them at the party they
planned for the other. After they blow out the combined 48 candles,
everyone begins mingling and sampling the edibles made available. FO
Miranda Sands asks Mercedes what drink CO Judah Gibbons would usually
order but Mer only shrugs and asks why. Miranda explains that she
promised to have a drink for Gibbons who is still marooned in Sickbay,
but she can't make up her mind what to get. Mercedes at least benefited
from their conversation, for it reminded her of her need to speak to the
captain about Jolie. Once in Sickbay, Mercedes briskly informs Gibbons
of her decision and the reasons for it. When he brings her attention to
her distracted scratching at her arms, Mercedes pulls up one sleeve of
her cardigan and spots(pun intended) chicken pox. With a second
legitimate reason to be held in Sickbay, Mercedes hurriedly excuses
herself and heads back to the party at full speed. At the birthday
party, Miranda finally gives up and asks Gibbons via commbadge what she
should get. He suggests a Spiritual Blood Brandy, a drink Chandler
mixes, if she is brave. When she asks what she should get if she isn't
brave, Gibbons says with a smile in his voice that she is on her own if
she's not brave. Miranda goes for it and likes the taste of the drink,
but is surprised to find somewhat disappointed looks on her friends'
faces. She didn't exhibit the normal reaction, sputtering, gasping,
searching frantically for something cool to drink, that most people have
on sampling that particular concoction. Miranda guesses that having the
chicken pox must have interfered somehow, then excuses herself to save
CEO Johnson from her exCNS fiance's inkblots.

In An Alternate Time-Line:

Feeling useless aboard the USS Integrity, the Hollander twins get
permission to leave in a fighter. After convincing Ab Morit to join
them, they return to the enemy fleet. They manage to board one of the
larger Romulan ships, kill the crew, and make it to the bridge without
the enemy noticing it. More Federation power is on its way in the form
of the USS Infinity, an officially non-existing ship from Section 31.
Aboard is Bordaq, the Horizon's former CEO, and his counterpart from the
Mirror Universe. The latter leaves to go ahead in a shuttle, and allows
himself to be captured by the Romulans. He soon escapes custody and
proceeds with what he has to do aboard the Romulan ship.

As Captain Tergin mourns the billions who have already lost their lives
in the war, CMO Bill Patton is on the Nightingale, finishing off on the
bio-weapons. He enjoys some time together with Shania, his wife who has
long been dead in his own timeline, before being called back to the
Horizon. He informs the senior staff of the bio-weapon they've devised:
a species-specific virus that will inhibit mitochondrial activity,
killing any person within minutes.

USS HERMES
CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax
GM: Graham Tyler
********************************

Jynn(CSO) and Agah(FO) prepared themselves to go over to the
Juggernaught, to see about shutting down the scramblers, Foster(CSciO)
worked on convincing the computer of the Juggernaut that the shuttle's
computer has been fried, as he started to send this information, he also
sends random outputs in every format he could possibly think of, to keep
the Juggernaut from drawing the MISSOURI in. Jynn and Agah prepare for
the mission, which is to beam away prisoners within the Juggernaut back
to the sickbay of the HERMES. They prepare themselves for the worst,
arming themselves with a phaser, a rifle and a field kit. After beaming
across, they discovered what is believed to be an organic substance from
some living creature, but it was not showing any traces of DNA, they
then looked at each other and loaded the rifles, keeping their fingers
on the trigger.

Stuck within the jail cells of the Juggernaught was the rest of the
crew, seemingly in good spirits, but clearly showing, the health of the
prisoners was deteriorating, as they would cough violently from time to
time, as they continued to keep their spirits high. Mean while
approximately a half a kilometer down the hall, Lt.
Qoensal(Intel.Officer) identifies some of the MISSOURI officers in a
cell similar to the one his crew is held in, quite apprehensive, he
enters the cell, and asks the crew of the MISSOURI to follow him to
where his crew is being held, but due to the MISSOURI's FO, they can
not, as he had suffered a broken leg, after speaking with them Qoensal
returns back to his own crew.

Knowing that they were getting closer to the prisoners, Jynn and Agah
suddenly run into trouble. Fighting off a Creature standing over 8'
tall, they notice that the creature has tentacles emerging from it's
chest. Putting up a good fight, Jynn and Agah managed to over run the
creature with a solid shot to the body from the phaser rifle. Continuing
down a corridor, they discovered a hatch. Opening this, they
automatically noticed the group of humans in Starfleet uniforms, from
the Star Ship, USS MISSOURI. As Jynn and Agah started to prepare the
crew for transport, the FO of the MISSOURI ask what was going to happen
to them, and also mentioning to Jynn that a member of her crew had
already made contact with them, and also pointed out, the corridor that
Qoensal went down was filled with some kind of gas.

Still secure within the cell, Qoensal waved to his CO, but also noticing
something moving outside the wall, hearing scratching sounds. As a metal
plate was being moved, Qoensal suddenly clenched his hand around the
neck of some person climbing out of the hole. Observing this Halifax
(CO), quickly walked over to both Qoensal and the body of a StarFleet
Officer, Qoensal then recognized a claw coming out of the same hole, it
was the former CMO's.

With the HIKARU's dilithium cyrstal mysteriously vanished, a search is
undertaken for native replacements. Roberts and Speeder, the Rachet who
accompanies Roberts, discovers a chamber on the planet...shielded with
an energy field, containing tractor beam and transporter. It is here
that the ship's dilithium crystals were taken. The chamber is located
several meters below the native city...the city that is in the throes of
a war.

The THREE RIVERS completes Engineering repairs and attempts to break
free from the cavern. As the THREE RIVERS emerges from the cavern
entrance it is 'swatted' back inside. Lt Fischer, who took the apparent
loss of the HIKARU hard, awakens in the THREE RIVERS and seems none the
worse for wear. Until, that is, he starts talking. His speech patterns
have been disrupted ... and who knows what other mental disarrangements.
Dr Poynton works at finding exactly what has happened to the First
Officer and how to reverse the changes.

Ens Foley, CSci, uses the HIKARU's sensors to investigate the planet and
city. He manages to contrive a disguise to allow him to pass as a
native. Unfortunately, this disguise is able to be worn only by himself,
anyone else would have to undergo surgery...something that is not
available on the HIKARU. Foley suggests that with appropriate equipment
he can infiltrate the city, gain access to the location of the dilithium
and obtain replacement crystals. Capt Alyza comes up with a 20th Century
movie-makeup methods that would also produce the proper disguise. An
Away Team is prepared.

false.

The USS JOHN GLENN has reportedly found debris from the destruction of
the USS COCHRANE. Search for survivors continues, but none have been

Amgine Sector and Andromeda Report (by Lt. Alac Nond)
*****************************************************

OP 108 activity has begun increasing with the completion of the orbital
docking platform. Construction has begun on several new ships at the
newly contstructed shipyards there. In addition, the Andromeda wormhole
has shown no signs of unusual behavior in recent months, causing a
return of commerce to the area.

Peaceful cooperation with races in the Amgine Sector continue to
increase in the aftermath of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference.

Terrorist attacks continue to plague Starfleet ships in the Andromeda
Galaxy. Purist terrorist cells, devoted to ridding Andromeda of all
Federation presence, have jeopardized the entrance of Trasior into the
Federation. Negotiators on Trasior report that the Trasien council is
considering withdrawing their application for membership, while various
attacks and disappearances are being investigated both by Trasien
Security and by Starfleet.

Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman)
*****************************************

Recent troop movements along Cardassia's border with Breen space has
sparked some interest in the Union's possible plans. With relations
still cold from the war, no official inquiries have been made, and no
investigation is planned.

Betazoid Council chairman Beyard Mali and Alpha Centauran Council
chairwoman Vhesha P'Nehbuddar have announced plans to begin a massive
cultural exchange between their two peoples, including cultural centers
on each of the two race's home planets. The cultural centers will be
primarily devoted to exploration of similarities between the two
cultures and will include expositions on the theoretical genetic links
between Alpha Centaurans and Betazoids.

Three suspected members of the Orion Syndicate were indicted today at a
Federation Council hearing. Although the Orion Syndicate has been
careful in the past to remain outside of Federation jurisdiction, the
recent acceptance of Vermanda III into the UFP has expanded StarFleet
presence into a previously unmoderated area, heavily used by Syndicate
trafficking. StarFleet expects no retaliation, but also no more
arrests, as the Syndicate has most likely changed their operations
routes.
