The Traders' Union loudly protests the Kinaresh bombing, so Merlog Prime
Minister Xark is busy when CNS Logaan Woods tries further questions. To
Logaan's query, Xark says the Traders' Union and the Merlog Central
Ministry are a dichotomous government, giving each race a voice with the
other. The setup was intended to establish peace, but when the Traders
demanded more land than the Ministers thought they deserved, it became
strained. The accidental bomber release infuriated the Traders causing
the chaos Logaan walked in on. Everyone quiets when the bell rings for
order and Xark informs them the craft have been destroyed. The attack is
over. He offers medical aid and building supplies in compensation as
well. After a moment of disbelief, the Traders' anger is doused and Xark
leaves to prepare the relief. Logaan follows him, asking when it will be
sent and if he can go along. Xark assures him the help will be sent ASAP
and that he can ride along. Pacified only on that point,Logaan
continues to pester the Prime Minister with questions about their
government. Xark explains that his own people are more advanced, but the
Traders are much better craftsmen. Nengie's connection is through the
religious tenor of many of the laws governing owning land and claiming
land. Nengie used to be Nengrar, god of light and sand, and thus in
charge of such things. The Merlog religion says the other gods hated
Nengrar and locked him away in the region of death. Their hate and
Nengrar's own suffering mutated him into Nengie. The others forgotten
and faded into myth, Nengie remained, forcing his way out every 200
years to wreak havoc on the Merlog and anyone else he can reach. By the
time he finished telling Logaan these things, Xark came to his room and
lay down on his bed, insisting Logaan leave him to rest in peace.
Logaan's investigative instincts next send him to the Key Trader and his
staff.

Alex during her time under custody. Fischer leads a team to a supposedly
empty Deyhui quarters in search of the bomber. They capture
their quarry, a Sehimlaeti assassin, know for their adversarial attitude

Last week Liam asked M'Rell about the secret compartiment in his
shuttle, when M'Rell reminds him off the agreement that M'Rell's shuttle
was to be left alone.

Later Liam walks into an appearently empty holodeck to prepare for his
oriental fighting with Stuart, to end up in the middle off a simulation
off a "cardassian restitution" from M'Rell, who he promisis not to tell
anyone about.

A farewell party for Dr McCuen is being arranged, where they will Roast
the doctor...
